Your car was doing EXACTLY what my car 1993 Chrysler Lebanon is doing. The free lance mechanic that hangs around the local Advance Auto said it sounds like the starter but I was going to replace the whole starter which other than this problem sounds fine and normally works very reliably. I will try the relay first THANKS FOR THE VIDEO !!!!!!

bro I have a 09 sxt its been doing this for a while I thought it was something big the starter,ignition, or battery, you really made my day I switch the fuse its start like its new so thanks much respect bro 👍

my car 2009.charger.sxt was.doing.the same.thing....left.me.stranded last night but.it turned over after 20 min of.trying to start it....went to autozone this morning and replaced the same part and it worked!! thanks.for.the video!!

Yo, much respect for posting this video. My 2009 Charger SXT has been doing the same stuff for about 4 months and after getting 2 new keys programmed I thought I was screwed. I found this vid and it saved me a ton of trouble. One thing though, the part that you replaced isn't called a starter relay (at least on my model) it's actually a 'Fuel Cutoff Relay' and is located in slot 9 of the fuse box. Found a replacement for around 20$ and totally fixed the issue. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem. I cant seem to locate a fuse, where did you get one for your charger? My fuse only has 4 prongs, all that I find has 5, thanks for the help.

Lynn Lueck The dealership. It was around $20. Just ask for a starter relay.

My question is, where would you find the AC clutch relay? My AC is blowing hot air, and my fuses are still in good shape.

would this apply to a 2008 dodge avenger? my car is doing the same thing but i dont have that kind of key. A mechanic told me it could be the kill switch on my alarm but i highly doubt that.

Does this take care of the screeching sound when you start it as well? it only screetches when you start it up.

Just replaced spark plugs gpt the kyb platonum has new battery and still has problem starting on my 2009 charger I only used 89 octane gas
