Here are my tips…. 1. Try disengaging main beam bulb first, when you have done this you will understand how the H7 single tab fitment works and it will make working blind in the wheel arch 100 times easier , I promise Here’s what I did F30 headlight bulb change. Dipped bulb, turn wheel out. Push down 2 hatch clips so they click and remove hatch. Rotate Circular cover and remove. H7 bulbs have one retaining tab that sits facing upright in housing with two metal clips retaining lower circular area of bulb Apply upward pressure to black bulb holder ( keep it on bulb as it helps leverage) to release lower tabs , they click and bulb can then be released, remove bulb holder from bulb ( can be stiff) and replace with new bulb. If you can’t see things easily for replacing the bulb use a mirror in the wheel arch or look from outside headlight to aid getting the bulb into the housing Fit single H7 tab upright into bulb housing and press bulb holder downwards to engage lower clips with a click Replace circular and hatch covers. Main beam is easy, just circular cover to remove and lift up bulb holder to disengage bulb as above.

Hi Taj. Thanks for the upload. Very explanatory, great camera work! As others have said, I wish manufacturers would make bulbs easier to access. It's a real pain doing this stuff at the side of the road when it's freezing cold and wet.

Thank you for mentioning that the bulb only locks in one way on the low beam. I was struggling for half an hour, but I was able to get the new bulb in just seconds after watching this video.

Thanks helped a lot. Done it on my drive turn the wheel outwards. Hardest part was taking the first cover off 😂. Rest was super easy

thank u I just replaced my bulbs with h7 leds. One question are both high and low beam h7s on the bmw 3? and are high beams just the reflector or is the viltage different?

Why do manufacturers make it so awkward for basic jobs! Should need to jack a car up tljust to change a bulb! Really useful as I'm looking to upgrade my bulbs.

You don't need to do that, just to turn The steering Wheel

When I pull out my lightbulb it has a metal bracket around it & I have to pull it apart….i guess the one I have is different but the bulb itself is the same….i can’t just put my bulb in the connector & push it in because it won’t stay, i have to use that annoying bracket…..my car is a 2017 BMW 330e

Hi, I pushed too hard and now the reflector is loose within the whole housing. The high beam reflector also is loose. Any ideas how I can fix this?

They Taj, I managed to change mine in less than 20 minutes. I would hace been charged a fortune. Your videos are very informative. Keep up the good work

Hi, maybe it’s not pushed in properly. There is a certain way you need to push in otherwise the beam image will be incorrect.

Absolute worst design ever! An hour later, and I concede defeat! I am able to get to the point of removing the wiring clip, but the bulb is not budging…and I have bled enough on the car as it is…

You have to just give it a good wiggle and pull. The thin metal rusts and it sticks together with the plug that’s why it feels stuck
