Nearly every Evoque I have seen has this same problem. Its actually rarer to see one with undamaged letters!!

Not really. It may be just a u.s issue with the varying climate as most of the European ones are not affected by this problem. I've seen junk cars that's crash damaged and the older ones badges are still in good shape.

Toffee/caramel wheel does a faster job and even better than an eraser. Not expensive tool either.

Would you please share a scan of those templates? Thanks for the video

How would be the best way to insure the correct new letter position, if I dont have any old letters on the bonnet to use as a reference to position the template?
