How to change hydraulic fluid, filters & suction screen on John Deere 4560 MFWD.

I am a 4th generation farmer in Northeast South Dakota where I own and operate a grain farm and raise beef cattle. I took over this farm in the spring of 2020 with my wife Sarah and children Vaughn and Maiya. We hope you enjoy the videos and learning what we do around our farm every day. If you enjoy watching these videos and learning about how we operate on our farm please like and subscribe. Thank You!

I’m very glad it was helpful. I have the same problem when I’m trying to find videos that explain how to fix problems on my tractors.

Nice job! Wish I had found this before I did our 4450. I figured out pretty much like you did.

Nice see a young buck trying to keep the farm alive, good luck, remember in future, dont get ahead of yourself by adding filter to soon, im a newer tractor owner, wanted do my screens, watched you struggle make it fit, im wondering maybe let a shop do it, what was reason, it didn't want to fit in? On the filters is there a torque setting? My 6410s says set to 17 lbs. Thanks

I’ll have to look up what the torque specs are. I changed the filters and fluid because the tractor has over 16,500 hours. We’ve had it 20 years and I’m not sure if my Dad ever changed it while he was alive so I wanted to change it for my records.

Do you have to use Deere Hy-Gard? Or can you use a hydraulic fluid that "meets or exceeds J20D or J20C specs"

You can use whatever hydraulic fluid you prefer. I use the JD stuff just to keep things simple.
