i hate last vw technology in passat b8. I have also octavia 1.9 tdi with filter oil in upper side on the engine.Very quick replacement .

The problem is not that the filter is at the lower at the engine. The problem is nasty cable under the filter.

Yes, you can. after you put the new filter, the level should be a little higher before starting the engine

Buna….Am un passat B8 2.0tdi DSG7 150 cai an 2018 DFGA cu 104.000km….cand sta masina parca simt ceva miros de gaze sau ulei nears….nu scoate fum…pe tester nu arata nimic…antigel si ulei nu consuma deloc….reviziile au fost facute la 1 an sau 15.000km….oare ce ar putea fi?

Nu îmi pot da seama, totuși vizual poți verifica dacă se vede umezeală sau ceva in neregulă in zona injectoarelor, filtru epurator.

Salut, eu folosesc liqui moly 5W 30 top tec 4200 dar se poate si castrol longlife III 5W 30, am observat că si la 2.0 si la 1.6 se folosesc. Îți recomand sa te înscri pe vw passat b8 romania și foloseste functia de căutare și vei găsi exact răspuns la ce ai nevoie

@@auto.b.i.daniel eu filosesc ravenol vmp 5w30 ( scump intradevar ) , dar media între regenerarile filtrului de particule a urcat de la 430 km la 700km pe distanțe mari
