After 10,000 miles the oil would basically be sludge! I change the oil/filter every 3,000 miles (5,000km) religiously. Car is 10yrs old and never had a single mechanical issue whatsoever. Still has original coolant in the radiator, even the a/c has never been re-gassed and is still icy cold. These W204's are awesome cars, very reliable if you treat them kindly. 😊

You missed one of the most important steps. After you fill it to the mark, START the car, let it run for a minute and turn off. Let it stand for 3-5mins and then recheck the oil level on the dipstick and top up as required. Usually takes +- 300ml to top up.

@@Fractal_blip yes. Its part of the fundamentals. You adding oil to compensate for the air cavity inside a new oil filter and oil passages. When you start your car the oil pump circulates the oil and bleeds out air pockets. Hence you need to top up the oil.

@@Andrew__Smith im fine thanks. Please go learn some fundamentals. If thats your way of thinking and understanding, then please dont work on any car. P.s. when you start a car in the morning after standing overnight. Do you think ALL the oil has drained into the sump and the engine is dry from the sump upwards? How do you then think the engine has oil pressure so quick when you start it up and timing chain doesnt rattle etc? Because some oil is maintained from the pickup in the sump, through the pump and oil galleries till the oil filter housing as to avoid excessive wear or damage on startup. But I guess this new era of youtube and google mechanics are smarter than actual technicians. Andrew, next time take the time to research a vehicles oil capacity and it will give you a figure excluding and including the oil filter...now why do you think that is? Are YOU ok?

I bought a cheap one approx $60 (600,- NOK) and had the engine and oil hot and it sucked up 6,7 liters , changed the oil filter and air filter meanwhile it was sucking by itself. No mess, no fuss and so easy I could do this every day even! 15 min and done with everything... Oil contained in the pump and just empty it after directly at gas station or mechanic. Service reset also easy yourself!

Just be aware, if you don't mind paying in excess of $85-$120/hr. for a mechanic's labor (NOT including price of parts), and you find one with LOW MILES (if buying Pre-Owned, Note: 150,000 miles IS considered HIGH MILEAGE on these cars), then these are great cars! If you're at all like me, and the labor costs, alone, make you nauseous, you had best be comfortable doing your own wrenching UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, it's the only way I've seen to justify owning such a fine piece of German Engineering!! And, without a doubt, the statement in the commercials holds 100% true: there really is NO other more enjoyable driving experience on PAVED ROADS, (short of racing at Laguna Seca or another such circuit track! )

DONT GET LOST IN THE SAUCE PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING A C250 👇 Honestly I love everyone who owns a c250 but I hate people who own it an are scared to actually fix a C250 if u buy a c250 don’t look at it as cheap it’s actually better than the C300 C350 and it’s the right amount of power u need ur not over doing it. u can Drift, power slide an do everything the Mentioned can do, but I ain’t gonna say a C63 cause that car is a basically a super car but sectioned as a “sport car fucking hate” if u wanna get a Mercedes’ that is reliable get the C250 sport or regular even if u get the regular instead of sport C250 it’s still the same engine but less price an same tranny so ur not losing anything unless u want a better speakers ,Brake calipers,Rims but brake Rotors are the same an that not bad, but honestly to me I would down grade to get the regular cause it’s NOT A FUCKING AMG but the parts u get are AMG parts like what was Mercedes thinking if u gonna put AMG parts at least up the horsepower as well like wtf it’s stupid to me I don’t know bout y’all but it looks like what Mercedes wanted u to do is lie to everyone saying it’s an AMG so they could buy it an find out them selves that in fact it’s “NOT”. That isnt strategic it’s like buying a horse With no hooves but instead they get feet like I’m not keeping that shit it’s getting fuckin put down lol but u can’t say anything about in the end cause ur gonna be lost in the sauce cause u finally own one so it’s too late.
