Great video. Everything was right on point. Just so you know. The last screw on the door that you went back and removed, is NOT necessary for door removal. I blew a fuse 10 seconds after turning the dryer on. Here's why: When you install the new heater coil, make sure that there is no contact between the spring(coil) and the chassis that it sits on. It will melt to it. This is why the coil is on the plastic pieces. My entire coil popped on the inside and broke the connection. It was an easy fix, but easily avoidable. I just wanted to add that for people like myself who have never replaced one before.Again, great video.

Thank you! Saved me a couple hundred bucks watching this. Took everything apart and the coil is broken. Might as well replace everything. Found the thermal fuses and thermistor, just need to find the coil part number. It broke. You rock...thanks! :)

I have the DV5471AEW/XAA model.

Great video....one small thing,,,,he forgot to re-connect the door switch when re-installing the front panel.
