Or your character need to have the same quaternion and names bones as the epic games character.

Those animations and the animation controller look amazing, are they custom made or from an asset store?

bro only epic games character works with this due to the bones and armature. otherwise you need to match the bones and armature. you can see the tutorial on youtube how to do this.
