bruh they update and delete whole thing lol, such a joke. They give you some boring ass color and force you to go to chrome store to select the theme but you cannot combine ur own wallpaper-theme color and color picker

if you guys want the 'old chrome' just go to the flags chrome://flags/ and disable chrome refresh 2023 or install chromium, actually i just found out if you just put it to enabled you get the old ones back and still keep the new look

The latest update as of 29 Dec 2023 has theme colours removed and custom colour is no longer possible - this is a step backwards by Google. if you guys want the 'old chrome' just go to the flags chrome://flags/ and disable chrome refresh 2023 or install chromium, actually i just found out if you just put it to enabled you get the old ones back and still keep the new look

is it just me or did they suddenly change all the colors to have barley any affect on light mode ad to look absolutely disgusting on dark?

i had the same problem i think i found it if you go to the bottom right in your google page it has a little pen button you can switch to dark mode from there and the palette becomes darker

If go to Settings > Appearance > Theme you can still choose themes that match the old colors that used to be standard. They will be under the colors tab.

the new update ruined my old color and wont let me go back and HATE IT

Open a new tab. Bottom right, click on the pen/appearance. Change theme. Scroll down, pick Chrome Web Store. On the left, you will see a list of types of themes, go explore that, you will find something that you like. You can always get what you want, they just keep moving things around, like Microsoft do with each Windows release. It's deliberately to annoy you, don't let it. 🙂

Yes, I've always been able to select a darker theme color for my Chrome but now I can't do that and all the light colored themes are ugly and are barely there at all! Thanks for ruining my favorite browser, Google!

i have the same issue i had hand picked a color with the color picking tool but they replaced it with some stupid slider and all the colours are so dull now

the new update sucks, now my tabs look like shit because i pressed the wrong button. i hate it here. can anyone here tell me if i am able to erase that action or any google themes that darkish red? or if there is a google complaint form, i am really mad.

With the new update Dec 17, 2023, they have changed it. It's not under you and Google anymore, it's under appearances, so you should do a new video. Also, I cannot find how to set a custom colour, is that still there? Update: How to fix the colours: Open a new tab Customise Chrome, bottom right Change Theme Scroll down to bottom, hit Chrome Web Store On the left hand side you will see a list of types, Artists, Animals, Colours, etc. You will find something in those lists that you like. I picked Blue Triangles under colours.

@@liamoas7920 yeh so am I, I noticed that the new chrome update had changed reset my theme on my other profile, and now I cant colour match my themes to each other, minor thing buts its really annoying, I don't know why they would simplify it like that.

f*cking google, always changing things, and just to change my theme color. bunch of tools with too much time on their hands.

Mine's messed up after their update, I also have a mac Mojave (something like that) so old that chrome can't update anymore, sooooooo I fixed it by using the old chrome and refreshed my other laptop
