Note to viewers: Invest in a C-Clamp. Required for changing brake pads.

You can compress the brake calipers by using one of the old brake pads and a c- clamp.

Thanks for the video man. Everyone has their own way of doing stuff. Many different ways to skin a cat. That tool is called a ratchet btw. I have a small KZread channel too, and I completely understand how you can forget the names of things so easily. It happens to me all the time. I would have like to see you put both pads back in, but overall it was a solid video.

Before you unscrew the bolts use a long screw driver and separate them from the compression

Be easier to take a 10mm and lossen the bleader valve and take a c clamp and make it flat and its way easier

Compressor? Dude, it's called a piston. For depressing the piston you first want to open the brake fluid reservoir, place a rag around it (it may flow over a little, particularly if you depress the piston too fast), and using a c-clamp, squeeze the piston back into it's pot. I advise using a thin piece of wood to protect the piston from damage. Lay the wood against the piston and crank....SLOWLY....with a clamp set on the piston and the back of the caliper. Once the piston is set into the pot put the brake pads on. Do both sides and DO NOT FORGET to close the brake reservoir!! Put the tires back on. Now pump the brakes (with the engine on) till they feel tight again. "It's a.....um, a...er....14." Come on man, you didn't know what size before you began the video? And since you're trying to teach people.....a 14 what? Inch? Centimeter? or....is it something else? Remember, you're showing people something they may have no idea about. You get an A for trying....a nice short video that gets to the point is good. But rehearse it man. You can get this perfect. Camera angle was great. Have your tools ready.....something besides a 4 way lug wrench for prying..... Take your time, think it out, step by step. Use the right terminology. You can nail this.

@@davidlastoria3341 Best...worst....I've seen, the guy had the car on one of those "space-saver" jacks, on dirt, no base or even a board. Couldn't get the lugs off...shaking the car on the jack. A beer on the hood, a cigarette hanging from his mouth. And of course videoed with wind so we got all that noise. Most of the time he was facing away so the words were nothing more than guttural sounds. I'm pretty sure the tools were from a kit bought at a dollar store. Needless to say anyone with no experience would have failed the endeavor. I kept watching 'cause I figured I might get to see a guy with a car on his foot. I've found a lot of great videos and a few really bad videos. But all in all I've had a much easier time getting something done because someone took the time to help all of us.

Everyone else is saying to use bleeder valve etc - thanks for that tip. I’m looking for a video that explained all those bits I used when I replaced brakes on brothers Vic. Now mine’s time is up.
