I've been searching for this video for so freaking long. Now I can finally change the battery on my fossil watch.. There are so many other videos of other types of fossil watches this is the 1st one I've found of my actual watch. Thank you for making this video!

Thank you for the video! I think you do not need to remove the auto-mechanical part. You can start just from the point at 2:00 when you removed three screws from the plate, covering the quartz movement.

Прекрасный фильм- комедия ! На якоре значится 25 камней , но под якорем , сюрприз - 371 батарея !😂 Случай так называемого надувательства , а иначе говоря - мошенничество !

I just followed the steps in the video and was able to change my watch battery (without the need of removing the auto-mechanical piece) and now the hour and minute hands work again, which is terrific. The mechanical pieces are not working, however. The gears and seconds aren't moving. What should I look at?

You can contact a watch technician, he can solve it.

As far as I know, the battery drives the hours and minutes, the day, date, and separate hour hands. The seconds and the bare gears are driven by the momentum of your wrist. They don't need a battery. If they don't work anymore a technician should look at it.
thank you po

Always ensure that sealant is added to waterproof the case. This video does not show how to do this.
Hey solim can you tell me how to identify a real fossil watch and what its characteristics is ?

Thanks for comments, A few basic concepts about watches can tell whether they are genuine or fake. Like logo, metal finishing, weight, dial color etc
What tools and size screwdrivers were needed for this job?

Search online, watchmaker screwdriver
And bro you can directly remove the automatic part, it's not connected with the dial

Why is there a battery on an automatic watch? For date and chronograph?

This is quartz movement

This is a dual-movement (semi-automatic?), an automatic mvmt for the seconds wheel and a quartz mvmt for the hours, minutes, day, and date (no chronograph).

@@mr.montblanc842I think the automatic movement just for fashion ony.
A ridiculous amount of steps to change a simple battery. I'd rather buy a mechanical.

A $10 quartz watch is usually more accurate than a Rolex.
