Experience says pop the tie rod out so you can turn the knuckle then drill the sensor out and get the sand paper jig (or diamond sanding drum) in the hole square. I would have shaved or sanded the raised ridges on the pickup body so it can be pushed in by hand. For haha's, next time put pen oil on it and use a air hammer with a flat mushroom faced bit to rattle the knuckle as "bob" tries to leverage it out and if that fails heat the knuckle up making that plastic soft then pry it out. Explain to customers these are pressed in. Invest in a right angle drill, one good save makes it worth having.

I had a problem with the two front sensors too for a long time. Changed out the sensors but trouble still appeared. I had already done some repairs to the harness, which helped for some years, but the trouble reappeared. Thought it was the sensor not being at the right distance from the ring. The manual gives you a runout distance of 0.3mm between sensor and rotor ring. I tried shaving down the brass ring on the sensor to close the gap, or add spacers too, but most likely it was the harness. So I decided to get a harness from a junker in order to splice it in. I pulled the harness through the fender well and cut it off at a spot where it would not be affected by the elements. Spliced it in and have not had a problem since. The harness can be a pain! Thankfully, my rust-free environment in my part of the country makes any exposed parts hassle-free. Thanks for the video!

Great info! As I tried to convey in the video correct diagnosis is important as it can be other stuff than just the sensor. But when the sensor is broken like in the video, you got to change it.

I drill it out carefully with a 90 degree air drill. It’s done in 10 seconds. Small but initially then a larger one being careful to not make contact with the reluctor. Salt life is bitch.
