OMG, you're a lifesaver! Thank you for making this video! I've owned the RF-1400 for slightly over one year, and every time I clean my helmet, reinstalling the visor stresses me out because I'm fearful I'm going to break at least one of the plastic pieces on the visor. Most other videos I've seen involve some degree of manhandling and pushing the end-pieces of the visor into the helmet's slots. This is the point where my heart races, and you've just saved me from that grief lol. Seriously, thank you! ✌🤘

Tried to follow the printed manual for my helmet and couldn't take off the visor. This video gave me the result instantly

Just picked up my first helmet today along with photcromatic visor that wasn't installed I looked at the mechanism and though that looked way to complicated maybe I wont bother using my $250 visor right now. 30 seconds later changed! LEGEND!

How are you finding the visor? Is it worth the price? I'm thinking about getting one but don't know anyone who has and can advise me if it's worth it or not

@@wavehopper08 it is expensive but absolutely worth it. Probably my favourite bit of kit australia is very Sunny generally but it’s storm season so sunny too dark and grey in minutes. If you pick one up you won’t be disappointed

@@lazww thanks for the reply. I am changing my helmet in 2 weeks and was looking at the shoei but wanted sun visor. Didn't want to have a totally tinted visor and need to carry another. It's expensive but if it does the job well I'm happy. Safe riding chap thanks 👍

Hi there. Thank you for the video. I have done as you do in your video, installed the pinlock and put the visor back on. It moves up and down fine but the visor doesn’t lock closed, the pinlock prevents it . Am I installing the pinlock wrong? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

It's hard to say for sure without seeing it, but it sounds like the Pinlock is in wrong as it shouldn't block the visor travel. There's a recess on the inner surface of the visor for the Pinlock to sit in. Make sure the top edge of the Pinlock is butted up to the ridge at the top of the visor, but doesn't overlap with it. Check also that the bottom edge of the Pinlock sits inside the recess there. If that's the case then it's not going to be an issue with the Pinlock installation and I'd see if you can get to a Shoei dealer and ask for some assistance. Cheers, Tony

How could I keep the 'crack open' position up to a higher speed? The visor is designed to fall down at the slightest wind. It's just such a pitty that shoei denies me the air I need to feel alive :-(

To my knowledge there's no way of adjusting the helmet to suit your purpose. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Cheers, Tony

Does anyone also have the problem that the visor in the lowest position (first and second detent) just does not stay open and closes independently?
