Very informative. I just want to add more tips based on my previous experience, even if the surface is flat, always put "kalso" or stopper before removing the wheelto prevent the vehicle from rolling. Also, put the spare tire below the vehicle chassis so if for example an unfortunate event like your jack failing, the vehicle wont drop on the ground. Very simple things, but could prevent a catastrophic event from happening. Keep safe you guys! 😊

For added tip you might want to tighten the lug nuts one across the other first, in a somewhat star shaped pattern.

You can also add checking the car's manual for best jacking points in the specific car. Different cars have different jacking points. I made the mistake of jacking our car misidentifying one of the notches in the body panel for the jacks and causing the front fender to get misaligned just a tiny bit. And to make sure that the spare tire is properly inflated because some look properly inflated but once the car is on the ground then you notice , give it a few kicks and try to put your weight on it before putting them on.

Not always the case when loosening the lug nuts. Sometimes you need to stomp on the wrench using your body weight for it to budge.

Only problem I had was the jack included on my fortuner is not high enough. When recently had a flat on the front. The included jack was just enlighten to lift the flat . Not enough height to attach the spare

Simply start with nuts that are opposite of eachother, so the wheel stays flush. If you tighten two adjacent nuts first it might "lean" inwards on that side

One additional improvement, often overlooked, is the use of a torque wrench. A vehicle's manual recommends that a certain amount of NM be applied in tightening the lugnuts. In a manual car you forgot to put in a position 1st gear and handbrake before you loosen the lugnuts partially then place the bottle jack in the hard part in under chassis or if you have a scissor jack you can use it for added support just in case the former one fails to lift the car then take all the nuts replace with the reserve tire put back the nuts partially starting up and down release the jack and tighten again

Abdani Ala nope I think it’s the 2016 model of the Fortuner I own one myself 4x2 V and the older model has drum brakes while the newer ones have disc brakes at the back.

I suggest you guys buy yourself a floor jack (2 tons and 5 tons available) for convenience purposes and quicker to lift your SUV/car, and another advise after putting back your stock wheel, have your car re-checked to a wheel balancer and/or wheel alignment for safety purposes. Oks?

Aris Benitez, 2018 models have rear discs now. Unfortunately 2017 still have drums..

not really a good tutorial, the instruction is pretty vague if i am a newbie.

I know how to change a tire but the thing is I am a weak being. I can't turn the nuts. I need to go to the gym. Or maybe get one of those motor operated tools.

Incomplete explanation. Brakes and tire chucks and EWD before doing anything else. Your final tightening position will get you back pain afterwards.
