    Is the size of the wheel hub stud different from the rear & front? or exactly same?

    I enjoyed the completeness of the video. Did notice that you did not use a torque wrench. I am sure that the caliper bolts have a spec as well as the hub. Any thoughts. On line I see 36-48 ft. lbs.

    Thank you for your feedback! To save the time in the video some stages of the repairs might have been excluded.. In practice the torque wrench should be used. Best Regards, Autodoc.

    In the step where the T-50 bolts are removed, an impact wrench did the job when a ratchet or breaker bar could not. Also missing is the step where striking the assembly with the blunt end on an axe is what removes it.

    I just spent 1 1/2 hours getting the bolts out. And, I wire brushed and oiled the visible threads. I needed a 10 inch and a 14 inch pipe extension on my 12 inch ratchet wrench, turning 3 clicks a stroke. One more wheel to go tomorrow.

    Update: I replaced it and I needed that Torx T50 bit! This video was spot on, exactly the steps I followed to get mine done. Though, breaking the wheel bearing bolts loose was nearly impossible being as close to the ground as I was. I would reccomend anyone else doing this to get the car jacked up as high as possible to give yourself some swinging room to wrench. Thanks!

    @5:00 What is the connection that is inside the hub? Is that the sensor for the speedometer? ABS? @6:40 I'm guessing this is the same thing as blue Loctite found in America? Something to lock the threads but can be removed in the future?

  • @TubeEricYou

    @TubeEricYou

    The lock for the threads is to avoid the loose of the bolts. The sensor inside the hub is for the ABS.

  • @autodocuk

    @autodocuk

    Thank you for your comment! That's right, this hub is equipped with an integrated wheel speed sensor, ABS. For the bolts, we used a thread sealant of medium degree of engagement, which allows us to further unscrew the assembly. Best Regards, Autodoc team!

    Same rear right wheel bearing I have to replace this weekend on my 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback. Thanks for the awesome video! I have worked on many cars/trucks but never a mazda. Looks pretty basic. Just one question. That green stuff you put on the bolt threads. Is it the same as nickel antiseize? I have always used nickel antiseize. Look forward to bother videos. Liking and subscribing. Cheers!

    The assembly was a real bear to lodge loose. He does it in two hammer taps in the video which is pretty amusing. I used a ton of PB Blaster, heat, and a sledgehammer, and it still didn't want to come off. Other than that it is an easy job.

    lol this video is a joke... don't use a screwdriver like that to pull off the ABS connector, you can easily break it! Use an impact gun to remove the hub screw. Don't let the caliper hang on the brake line. Torque everything to spec. You also didn't mention that you need to press the brake piston back with a special tool before installing it.
