Thank you, I’m a female and this is my first time changing a saw blade. I watched one other video that did not have the details that you had. This was very helpful. Short and sweet as it should be. Thank you.

These are the videos are always hard to fine because they are “basic“ and therefore people feel like they don’t need to be made. But sometimes when your brand new do a tool you just need the basic spelled out. This was really helpful

Thank you, Thank you! Recently purchased my first circular saw. $15 at the local pawn shop. A little 12 amp KRAFTtech, in great condition (pristine cord). Just needed cleaning up and a new blade. Had been thinking of a Dewalt or a Milwauke or a Bosch, but dang... $15? For some reason I thought a screwdriver or something similar was wedged between the teeth as a blade lock. Your instruction has made the operation much more civilized :)

Do you have any helpful tips for getting a blade off that is stuck on there really really tight?
@AroundTheHome1
7 жыл бұрын
If it is the nut stuck on there really tight then I would suggest using a ratchet set instead of the supplied wrench. If it is still giving you trouble it my be rusted on there. I would go to your local hardware store and get some penetrating oil. Spray the area around the bolt and the shaft as good as you can and hopefully that will loosen it up. Thanks for the comment. i have a dewalt that has a stuck bolt and the stupid blade lock is a button that you have to keep pressure on to keep it lock so how to takee off blade then b/c you meed 5 hands to do it all
@AroundTheHome1
5 жыл бұрын
Well, all the blade lock buttons you have to keep holding down. That is not different on the DeWalt. If you have a stuck bolt then I suggest you get an extra hand to hold the blade lock and use a ratchet and socket so that you can get some extra leverage. Thanks for watching. quick question I bought a dewalt 7-1/4 lightweight circular saw. could that be okay for pvc pipes or carbon graphite.
@AroundTheHome1
7 жыл бұрын
I can't completely answer that question, but yes. I have cut plenty of Standard PVC pipe and PVC trim with it. The PVC cuts easy with a standard carbide tipped blade. And the more teeth the cleaner it cuts. I'm not sure what carbon graphite materials you might be talking about. But I am guessing that it isn't harder to cut then solid woods.

I'm sure that the saw has the power, just not sure what would be the best blade for the golf clubs. Maybe a solid rim blade, like a fabric abrasive or even a solid rim diamond grit blade...

You should probably mention the inside spindle washer, as it pops off really easily when you're cleaning the inside of the machine.

@AroundTheHome1
4 жыл бұрын
I really don't know. I guess I could go get a socket set and find out, but I don't know that they are even all the same size over time and different models. So then it may not help you at all. 4:49 lady's and gentlemen. Lol
This video incorrectly says that circular saws, unlike table saws, have standard threads (righty tighty, lefty loosey). My circular saw has left hand threads (lefty tighty, righty loosey), so I nearly stripped the bolt trying to loosen it as if it had standard threads. I then found another video that clearly explained that you should loosen the bolt in the direction that the blade cuts.
@AroundTheHome1
5 жыл бұрын
I have used many different skill saws over the years and they have all been the same. What type and model saw do you have that the blade turns the opposite direction?

@AroundTheHome1

I don't know the best way to do that. I have never owned a saw without a blade lock. Though, I have watched people change blades without a lock. I remember them using a vise grip wrench on the blade to lock it place against the deck plate. You obviously have to be more careful with one of those older ones.
