we just celebrated summer solstice... and we made beautiful fruit platter with mango, pineapple, strawberries, and dragon fruit... and used as our center piece for our altar. [we are in south america semi-tropical] the ritual was sun going down about power and gratitude for what has been and what is yet to come - we chanted the name of the person/kid in the center raising power and then came the thunder and rain to close it, but the sun still shinning as it went behind the mountain. talk about high-energy!

I don't usually comment but I had to say, you help me in my own craft so much! I'm currently planning out summer solstice activities and writing down everything I can learn and this video is helping tremendously! Wishing you another beautiful and radiant Litha this year 🧡

I found stones/ crystals for the first time in my life washing up on the beach, just before that I molded the sun in the sand and covered it with crystal chips as a offering… I seen rainbows at sun rise… it was a truly magical solstice!!🙌🏻🥰💯✨

Your Litha cake looks delicious and it's lovely to look at. I will have to try making it, though that will be at a later date. Strawberries are my favorite also since childhood and, it seems, they may also be your son's favorite as well. He is absolutely adorable. Bavaria is beautiful. I remember, when growing up, I was always reading the Grimm Brother's stories, lol. Bavaria fascinated me with its rich history and tales of it being haunted.... In Slavic Paganism in Ukraine (half of my background, but I'm also half German) we have Kupala. Flower crowns for daaaaaays with ferns and poppies and other herbs. It's supposed to be incredibly hot here on Vancouver Island for the next 2 days, so there will be lots of swimming in the river. I developed a strawberry allergy after chemo and it's the saddest thing ever because I miss strawberry desserts SO MUCH!

I've been struggling a lot this year dealing with a narcissist trying to sabotage my world, and this week has been pretty rough. I didn't remember Midsummer. What you do here is wonderful, it is so good to see Witchcraft positively represented, it's been a "bad thing" for so long and witches have been in hiding for far too long. such a beautiful video!! this is the first year i am celebrating litha and i am pretty excited. Are there any German folklore or pagan traditions books you recommend to learn a bit more? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!

There are many great books most of them will however only exist in German language or Latin, plus the really good researched ones are all from the 1800s - so a bit hard to read. My favourites however are: Deutsche Mythology by Jacob Grimm and Sagen und Legenden aus der Oberpfalz by Franz X. v. Schönwerth

Oh cool! We do those here too! Either Hollerwasser (non alcoholic brew) or a fermented version that is called Holunder champagne 🤤

@@Thewitchescookery Thank you! Yes, Rode's tend to make good mics. I've only seen a few negative comments about them. I have a Rode for VO's but it's a USB mic that plugs into my computer.

Nothing wrong with being sceptic - it is a mixing pool for people of different beliefs and cultures, nothing dogmatic or factual ☺️ there is even an entire SASSwitch community (Skeptic, Agnostic, Atheist, Science-Seeking).
