How to Celebrate Imbolc, The Witch Rites, Rituals and Spells that you need to know.
Learn how to celebrate Imbolc, from being fully pagan about it and raising the serpent to simply lighting a candle and eating butter. This video is everything that you need to understand and celebrate the witch's sabbat of Imbolc your way.
Imbolc means that the wheel of the year is spinning and spring is on its way and the first signs of warmer weather are coming. As a summer witch (I can't take the cold) I love seeing the first shoots coming up - it really thrills me and with the Goddess Brigid at her most powerful we are in for a wonderful new season.

Hey Bridgette! I too love spring - first word:bird! And was born on the 20th of March! 🌺🌺🌺
I love snow drops. I grew up in New England, and right up until she passed, my mother would always call to tell me when the first snowdrops appeared in her garden.
My cat hopped onto my shoulders to watch with me. We won't have any blooming flowers until April in my area, but I will definitely be cleaning away and feverishly planning my garden.
I love this channel. Her energy is warm, magnetic and delightful. I learn so much!
I just love your "How to celebrate videos." I always learn something new, and you present it in such a fun and lively manner. Ginny, you are a joy to watch!
That photo of Old Man Winter is amazing 🧚♂️💚

It really is!
Lol! Don't talk to me about snakes! One of ours has escaped her vivarium! 😅 Learnt a lot today! We usually clean, light a fire & leave porridge & butter for the fae. Thanks Ginny Super Witch! Blessings & appreciation!
I too am not a good house cleaner. I’m looking at the budget to find things I can do without to hire someone who has been blessed with those abilities. I’ll appreciate that service more than words could ever say!!
Some traditions will base their dates of Sabbats on moon phases which will give slightly different dates.
I love how you added the detail that a sabbat is supposed to be celebrated starting the night before into the day. SImilar to how a Jewish Shabbat is celebrated from sundown to the next sundown. Just to note (for the Northern Hemisphere): Imbolc (1-2 February) Ostara (anytime between 20-23 March, always start the night BEFORE the first day of Spring that year, for 2024 that will be 19-20 March) Beltane (30 April-1 May) Litha (anytime between 20-23 June, always start the night BEFORE the first day of Summer that year, for 2024 that will be 19-20 June) Lughnasadh (31 July-1 August) Mabon (anytime between 20-23 September, always start the night BEFORE the first day of Autumn that year, for 2024 that will be 21-22 September) Samhain (31 October-1 November) Yule (anytime between 20-23 December, always start the night BEFORE the first day of Winter that year, for 2024 that will be 20-21 December)
As a wiccan, I feel very alone, I dont know anyone that is a pagan, so finding you is very helpful, and I feel as If I have found my family. (Your also British like me!)

Don't feel alone, sister, just follow your path. If you want company, try to find some wicca covens in your area in the internet, or visit some esoteric shop and ask around. Also there are a lot of good pagan and wicca channels on KZread.
Snowdrops are out in my front garden (I live in Hertfordshire), magical. Enjoyed your video, many thanks.
I love Your videos so so so much, they are so informative and entertaining. You are an amazing storyteller. I am mesmerised and feel just like in the good old days when I was 4 years old and just discovered those tv shows for children with creative projects and puppets etc. Than You !!!
I'm going to make sure to clean the toyo stove that keeps the cabin warm for Imbolc this year!

That's brilliant! Light the fire afterwards with your intentions! Use the energy produced to manifest! I will add herbs, flowers, different woods. You can also then keep the ashes for future spells!
Yesssss! We observe. Love and Peace to you from Upstate, NY, USA.
I really feel that I live far north watching this video, middel Norway. It will be months until we can see snowdrops in our garden, and there is still a lot of snow, and yet more to come. April is more the month were the vinter loose to spring and summer. So celebrating spring 1.-2. of February is a bit odd.
I was born on imbolc 🥰
I cleared energy of the house the first day I got the chance. Which wasn't easy as back mold and extreme structural damages were found in the house. It is an older home.
I adore Snowdrops They are immaculate. The simplicity and precision.Divine.
Thanks to KZread for recommending this channel! Subscribed! I’m a new Witch going through my year and a day training and right now we’re learning about Imbolc and Brigid. I appreciate this video.

Love this, thank you for sharing have been waiting to probably follow and honour the sabbats and wheel of the year for a few years now! Going to do it this year. You have lovely energy and I too am waiting on those snow drops! :)
I’ve only seen you for the first time today (Thursday, 26th January 2023), and I LOVE this video. You’re great at explaining what Imbolc is (I’d been pronouncing it as Im- bolc) until now), plus you’re so lively and friendly. Thanks to KZread for recommending this video, and thank YOU for making it x

Ginny ❤ I can’t wait for the next video BB❤
Thank you Ginny! Luv from Arizona, USA, Pamela
Just a heads up that the pronounciation of Imbolc is exactly as it is spelled (Im-bulk). It comes from the Irish ‘Imbolg’ which means ‘in the belly/stomach’ (bolg is the Irish for stomach) :) It is important to get this correct if you are going to take parts of other people’s cultures to celebrate or observe, otherwise it becomes appropriation. I absolutely love your genuine enthusiasm for this, it is so refreshing on KZread. The admiration of Bridget/Brigid has had a renaissance here in Ireland in the last year or so as she is now seen as a Feminist icon. I think that is pretty freakin’ cool :) In fact we now have a new Bank Holiday on Bridget’s day for the 1st time this year. Long may it last! Everyone in Ireland made St Bridget’s crosses in primary school growing up,it’s like a rite of passage. Little did we realise that she was a pagan icon who was in fact appropriated by the Christians!
Thank you for another wonderful informative video!! Blessed Be!
I was planning on using my lactose free milk to make butter, so it sounds like an extra good time to do so XD
I come from Bridport named after Bridget
I love your videos Thank you so much 😊
So informative! Thank you so much, your energy is absolutely beautiful 🌱🌸
your so wonderful!
After cleaning out the stove, I set my intentions, will burn herbs, flowers, small amount of honey, different woods, then, next morning save the ashes for future blessing/ fertility spells!🔮
lovely energy
Thankyou xxx
Sadly no green reeds or snowdrops here in Canada where I am!
minecraft sound effect was sweeeet
In NYC, it's STILL the dead if winter on Ground Hog day...
Also, many wiccans and other pagans believe that God (represented by the Sun) is a child at this time (God,the sun, was reborn on Yule, shortest day of the ). The Goddess is in her young virgin maiden aspect at this time of Imbolc. 😊
I love spiders!!!
