I caught a tarantula super early in the game. I freaked out and caught it. Didn't realize how rare/hard it is to catch one.

I remember when I first started playing ACNL and I hit a rock. A centipede flew out and I caught it. I remember thinking 'wow, and people say catching the scorpion is hard!' Yeah, I actually thought it was the scorpion. Yikes.

I remember of Something, in ACWW I saw a tarantule, I was like "Oh my goood", and i saved… I Don't know why xD so I could 't get the tarantula, but I was a kid, like 8 years old

That reminds me, I caught a shiny Pidgey in the wild in Lets Go Pikachu randomly!

I encountered 2 tarantulas, and 1 scorpion. The first tarantula, was an accident, I accidently stepped on it because i wasn't currently looking for one. The other tarantula and scorpion either walked off a cliff or into the water. I don't know if i was lucky because they spawned, or unlucky because i didn't catch a single one.

Here's my tarantula/scorpion story. I was playing acnl when suddenly I got knocked out. I thought to myself, "Wait wait... WAS THAT A TARANTULA?!" I tried looking for another, but no luck. The next day I was READY. I started scrounging around at about 9pm and I found one- but it disappeared. I was petrified because yet again, no more tarantulas that day. The day after, I did my daily things like getting fortune cookies, talking to my villagers, I finished the café project, you get the idea. I stopped playing a little while and realized it was the perfect time to try to catch one of those scoundrels. I started the game and started looking and I found another! I followed it and did everything perfectly... that is until I messed up the swing. Long story short, it knocked me out. I found another tarantula to the far right of the newly-made café, and I approached it veeerrryyy sssllloooowwwllyy. I moved closer, it standing still. I swung....... and caught it! It is now in my house, I named him Terrifying Tim. I haven't encountered a scorpion yet. (I haven't even played long enough to get around to that part of the year :P) Wish me luck when that rolls around. 🍀🦂🕷

Spent like half an hour hyperfocused on catching a tarantula after it got to 11 pm and every time I passed by one of my fountains or especially my fire pit my heart stopped for a split second because it sounded a lot like the tarantula’s sounds. Idk why but it’s so nerve wracking. I lost the first one I saw because I couldn’t see it’s placement but the second I caught! Thanks for this video! I remember when I first got animal crossing, I ran into a tarantula and it knocked me out, and I was utterly confused, but never saw another one since then until now.

I’ve literally watched this video too many times and as soon as I looked it up I hear the freaking scorpion hiss. I had caught my first tarantula earlier and caught a second one as I started to get the hang of it! I was so happy as august Is nearly ending and I got it just in time. Anyways I tried for like 2 hours to find a scorpion with no luck. Just got back from the island and all of a sudden hear the hiss. I saw one before the tarantula and it disappeared. This lucky scorpion was in the trees and I couldn’t see it. I waited and eventually swung my net. I really thought it disappeared again and then I heard that lovely net noise and then the notification popped up telling me I had caught it! I’m so happy to have both after 3 days of trying! Only 7 bugs left till my golden net! Sorry to write this but I’m just do happy! Thank you for the guide!❤️❤️

Thank you so much for the help! I caught one thanks to you, but didn't really do what you did. I was walking around my town and as soon as I saw the tarantula turn around I took out my net and it ran towards me scaring the chicken nuggets out of me, but I caught while it ran towards me. So scary.

Thanks to your helpful methods...it really helped me when I tried to catch them! I have them both in my museum now and I've even sold them when I've caught them again and again! PS: that save and continue button really works too!

I've got attacked by a total of 11 spiders and scorpions in my new leaf town. Once me and my friend both got knocked out at the same time.

i got really lucky and came across a scorpion without purposely looking for one WITH my net out. i was sorta near the river but as it inched closer to me while hissing, i got it! it felt great, although i had a little scare when i thought my wolfgang would want it

Tonight, I started a new game and I was wandering around town with my net out, looking for new bugs, I had the volume low because I was in the living room then BAM, tarantula! She was meandering around my town square! I just walked up to her slowly, caught her and donated her! I've never even seen one in game before, let alone caught one. I was surprised she didn't try to attack me now I've watched this! 😂

Also if the scorpion/tarantula starts to chase you, make sure you either have the net in your quickest accessible pocket or in your hand. Start tuning north so you can get a better shot of the Scorpion/ Tarantula and so you can also pull out your net quicker if you don't already have it out. Then like catching wasps, quickly press A when they're close to you , and BAM! You just caught a scorpion/tarantula!

I’ve been playing acnl for 3 years and never knew that these bugs could attack you like that.. that’s scary. In Total I’ve played AC for 10 years, and I’ve actually never caught any scorpions or tarantulas, so this video really helped!

You finally got it

I literally just went into a random villager's house for no reason, came out and a scorpion was just chilling right next to that house. I'm surprised that thing didn't sting, and even more surprised I caught it from the angle I was at. Also gotta love not even seeing it for a solid 10 seconds because I was watching this video XD. Well now I need the tarantula and I finally get those nightmares out of the way.

I saw a tarantula in the game the day I had started but since I had just started I didn't have a net

Back in Wild World, i found one and my character passed out and i was scared

I've owned Animal Crossing New Leaf since September of 2016 and been an avid fan of the series since the first Animal Crossing game came out on GameCube, but I didn't realize you could hold down the A button with the net equipped to approach bugs slowly until watching this video. I always just had to ever so slightly move my character with the control stick when approaching trees. >_

I always walk everywhere, never hit B or R to run. Running does ruin flowers, walking doesn't

Baby Superwoman they only appear in April you can't just get them

My only problem is I keep finding tarantulas when I want scorpions and when a scorpion does spawn it's in a bad spot near water (and it always falls in) or in between trees where I can't see it and raise my net without risking it attacking me

Holding a net will not make it chase you unless you run or swing it. Not holding a net runs the chance of it despawning

That is your best friends list! If you go to a friend's town and go to the player list, you're able to add them to your best friends list. This will tell you when they're online, and you're able to talk to each other through it although you're in other towns!

If you mean the layout of the houses, the plot reset method. She's done a couple of videos on it.

Finally got the Scorpion, best way to get it is from behind while it rests and sneak up on.

I've been searching for 3 hours a day for the past few weeks. Still haven't seen one.

I was in my town once but I wasn't catching anything,I had my bug net out and then I saw a Squrpion!!!! I kept running until my thumb got tired and I have up :c I didn't get to see much of it.

tarantula sounds like this "Nice peace noises" and the scorpion sounds like this "Demon noises"

I’ve been playing this game for ages and only caught the scorpion once. In the other day it was around 1am and I decided to play ac since I couldn’t sleep. Literally two seconds through the game, while I was checking my mail box I saw a tarantula looking at me! I freaked out because these bugs always scared me ahah but then it ignored me and I caught it! It was actually the first time I saw the tarantula in the game xD

Heres 1 ACNH player from the future. The skorpion looks like a murder now

question: if you catch the tarantula(or scorpion)and you also want to catch the scorpion(or tarantula) does it decrease your chances to find it? Cause I keep finding tarantulas and never a scorpion(like I didn’t even see one yet).

They shouldn't effect each other, however I also have an easier time finding the tarantula normally. However, if your town is currently in June, you won't see the scorpion at all because they only begin spawning in July :)
