PSA: You have to defeat Frenzy Kleavor in order to get the shaky tree nearby the Alpha Lopunny! I kept resetting over & over and nothing worked until I cleared that mission😅

I kept this in mind, but I’ve just confirmed it’s not true. not only that, but the first time it was shaking, the tree right before it was also shaking and it had Cherrim. managed to get both cherubim and cherrim. took quite a bit though cause RNG

@@anon-ud9mq Just because my experience wasn’t your experience doesn’t mean it isn’t true. All I can say is “GOOD FOR YOU”.

I found somewhat a easier guide: if you go to the mountain camp on coronet highlands, you can check for shaky trees in the lonely spring, which is right in front of you when you spawn in. This area has about 8 trees that can either be cherrim or cherubi. If there is no shaky trees you can always go back to the village to reset, and no the weather doesn't matter when doing this.

It has been 15 minutes of me just going back and out of my tent just to get a freakin' sunny weather

was looking for one cherubi to complete the dex and get the shiny charm and I found a shiny starly before I found the cherubi great shiny hunting guide 10/10

“in under 10 minutes” it took me literally 15 minutes of resting until morning to even get one sunny day😂

I was about to give up after spending one hour for Cherrim, but I decide to youtube it and found your amazing video, after following your steps I got the shaking tree within 5 minutes and I kid you not my first ever encounter with Cherrim was a shiny. Amazing video

This was amazing! Took me about 30min to get the correct weather, but then, on the first try the bottom tree was shaking and down came the Cherubim!!! Finally my Pokedex is complete!!!

After about 4 hours of trying to catch one and watching multiple videos on this I still haven’t had a single tree shake in the area on clear mornings. Keep resetting, going back and forth from the village. The trees do not shake in the area every time. I can’t believe they made this the rarest Pokémon in the game….

You can actually find cherubi super easily from mountain camp in the coronet highlands. Mainly check the lonely spring area which is right in front of you when you spawn in and it could have a really good chance of cherubi or cherrim

Thank you so much! I heard that Cherubi was bad in this game. So I looked up KZread tutorials before even trying on my own. This method works so well. I tried this, a captured two Cherubi in a timely manner. I want to get two, and then evolve one for my living dex. If a Pokemon is rare, I would rather have t be in a super specific location but be guaranteed being there. The Sinnoh starters are the best example of this. Chimchar is in the large island in the southwest of Obsidian field lands. Turtwig is by a pond in the most southeast corner of Crimson Mirelands. Piplup is by a pond near the northern secluded part of the post. I acquired three of each species and evolved them accordingly for the living dex. I also acquired an extra Chimchar, which later became Infernape for my team. I started with Cyndaquil, but quickly boxed it. I replaced it with Ponyta, which then evolved to Rapidash. Then that eventually got replaced with Infernape. I know people like to harp on Infernape and Emboar for being Blaziken knock-offs. Yet I am warming up to Infernape, pun intended. It is a great Pokemon and a good new member to the team. Empoleon is a great Pokemon on its own, but it doesn't jive too well with the rest of my team. I am using Walrein as my water member. After I caught Cherubi, I later caught mamgnemite. That is a new team member, and that coveres the steel type. I like to have a really well rounded team that covers all my bases. For this playthrough I got Magnezone, Walrein, Golem, Infernape, Honchkrow and Gardevoir. I didn't actually get Magnezone yet, but I plan to get it. I just need to level up my brand new Magnemite and evolve it. I even got extra thunderstones to aid the evolution process. As for Torterra, well I am not a fan of grass Pokemon. So I don't have anything like that on the team. Ground is good though, so have Golem for that. It is cool that I can aquire all the Sinnoh starters. I am currently in the Cobalt Coastlands area. That is thefurthest part of the game I got so far. Last night, I was at the camp near the entrance. I took out Torterra, Infernape and Empoleon for a little chat. It was great I was able to get all of them. I can totaly imaging getting all three plus Raichu for a cool team in a playthrough. I had similar teams in Sun and Lets Go Pikachu. Getting the starters is challenging but not too frustrating. I think that is how rare Pokemon should be like. I went on a tangent with starters. Cherubi does seem like some horrible Pokemon where one has to rely on luck. Maybe it isn't that bad maybe. It has a case of being in a specific spot on the Obsidian Fieldlands and in sunny weather. That makes it a whole lot more doable. I would like to take out the randomness entirely. I do know some ways. The player can manipulate time of day by resting in camp. It would be nice to manipulate the weather. In the olden days, certain Pokemon moves had field effects. The main example are the HMs. There are others like dig, teleport and sweet sent. Pokemon already has weather moves. There is rain dance, sunny day, hail and sandstorm. Maybe these moves can go beyond affecting the weather of the battlefield and even effect weather of the overworld. In modern Pokemon games, HMs have been discontinued in favor of something more convenient. In Legends Arceus this manifests as noble ride Pokemon. In this case, maybe one can have a special castform. Then that cast form can manipulate the Weather in the overworked. Tht would be cool. While we are at it, I would like a rock form that does sandstorm. That would be awesome. Why we don't have rock Castform I don't know. Manipulating weather gives one access to certain Pokemon. One can make it sunny in order to get Castform. The best example of this is the wild area in Sword and Shield. The pokemon vary widely depending on the weather. Another way to aid the acquiring of Cherubi is one that triggers the Pokemon in trees. The solution has been staring at us. There is honeycomb in this game. They can be picked up in areas that have Combee. So there can just be an extra feature. One can slather honey from the honeycomb on any tree with berries or apricots. Then boom, they immediately trigger a Pokemon to come down and start a wild encounter. The pokemon would usually be Burmy. It CCA apply to other pokemon, like Wormdam, Combed, Cherubi and Cherim. There is a potential to make Cherubi a challenge without being a frustration. First wait or sleep until broad daylight. Then go to the two special Cherubi trees. Then use noble Castform to create sunny weather. Then one slather the honeycomb on the tree. Then boom, guaranteed Cherubi encounter. That is awesome. I would like Cherubi be aways out, and then Cherrim can only be acquired by evolution. Heck Munchlax is rare too. Just have a special Munchlax tree near the second camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Then one can slather honeycomb on that for guaranteed munchlax encounter.

I finally got the sunny weather, but there were no shaking trees so I went to the village. And then there was a massive mass outbreak in the same area. Stormy weather. Had to start all over…

Can confirm Cherubi also has a chance on a regular sunny day.

Just a little heads up for people, I would recommend going to the Cobalt Coastlands to do the morning cycle for the Sunny weather. In my experience, the odds of sunny weather there are higher. Once you have it, go to Jubilife City, then do the method.

I just realize how lucky I was. I caught cherim early by paralyzing it, using false swipe with one ultra ball. Didn’t know the catch rate sucked so much 😅 I don’t remember if it was day however.

Hey I don’t know if you’ve tried this but the thing I did was find a Cherrim tree, save in front of it, go back to the heights camp, sleep until night, and Idk if it was because it was raining or not but cherrim hopped out the tree and I was able to catch it in an ultra ball because it did not transform into day form.

Took me less than 10 minutes, and the weather wasn’t exactly right, but got the last cherubi I needed.

I had spent time and time again resetting for another cherubbi. A female had graced me once and I caught it but I needed a second to evolve. I found this video and in less than 20 not only had I found and caught that second, but in the same moment both trees shook. A female Cherrubi was in the first and a female Cherim the second. I caught both and was like NEVER AGAIN MUST I SUFFER HUNTING THESE. My sincere gratitude to you 😁

Thank you for this guide, but if I may say, the process sequence should be: 1. Go to the Obsidian Fieldlands and check those two trees if they are shaking. It would really suck if you spent a lot of time getting the right weather and the trees are not shaking. 2. If the trees are shaking, then you're set. Reset for the right weather and time of the day (the trees would still be shaking). Note on the weather, in the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Sunny Weather odds is 60%, the Intense Sun Weather odds is 4%, now according to this video, the best chance to get cherubi is on the Intense Sun Weather. Trust me, the process is tedious if you will get that Intense Sun Weather. Cherubi would also appear in plain Sunny Weather, so you can do the process with a just a plain Sunny Weather. Personally done that just now. -2. If you have a shaking tree and the right weather, Go hit that tree with your pokeball w/ a mon on it and pray that that tree would spawn a Cherubi. (Rinse and Repeat) P.S - If you are gunning for a Perfect Research Level Pokedex like I am right now, (Doing this by numerical order. I'm currently at Raichu) This would be the ideal method. The spawn rates of Cherubi in other areas are fairly low. Most of the time, in the Lonely Spring, Primeval Grotto and Fabled Spring at the Coronet Highlands spawn mostly Wormadam and Cherrim. Cherubi is so freaking rare. In the Gapejaw Bog at Crimson Mirelands, the odds are slim to none. Like the video said, this two magical trees in the Obsidian Fieldlands are our best bet. I don't want to break the mistery of the magical cherrim trees, but there's a guaranteed spawn in the tree of the lonely springs in the coronet highlands (where there's the alpha static Carnivine), if you have braviary you already unlocked that part

I have no idea how this happened. I caught a Cherubi using your method and immediately after there was a mass outbreak of Cherubis nearby so I caught like 12 extras!! This video was so helpful thank you.

I have around 75 hours in the game, never seen a cherubi/cherrim. I tried this method and managed to get a shiny Geodude spawn while flying to the trees before a tree shake, AND when I did have a tree shaking it was a Cherrim. It is an effective method once the weather is right I will say, didn't take me many times, just ironic that I was unknowing shiny hunting as well.

i'd been grinding for cherubi for hours in coronet highlands (bc theres more trees there, even if its a decreased spawn) when i got tired and looked up this video. as soon as i had sunny weather i got it on my first reset. bless 🙌

After spending an ingame month resetting for the harsh sunlight, and getting a shiny Bunneary I named James, I managed to get both magical cherub trees to start shaking, gifting me a beautiful pair of Cherubis. Two resets later, just as the harsh sunlight ended, one of the magical cherub trees started to shake, gifting me with a Cherrim as a parting gift. 10/10 tutorial

I'm glad that the first Cherrim I found dropped off a tree during the night. So I could catch it. Now I'm just in need of a Cherubi.

I can confirm it works. A shiny Buneary ran away from me in the process which hurt. But I’m more glad I got the cherubi 😅

You do not need to wait for the sunny day. I spent a long time trying to get that sunny day.
