Listening to this man telling the story of the cobra who was thirsty was very emotional to me, I don't know why, maybe it's because I'm just naturally afraid, of everything, like modern people so often are. Clearly, although tough and dangerous, mother-nature is not naturally disposed to killing you, although she will test you and fight you and wound you, she will also teach you and feed you and preserve you. I'm determined to look into this guys research and journeys and life because it looks to me as if he's, in a sense, one of the last hopes for this mud-ball we live on and its creatures. I know this isn't his message but to me, when it's all cut back to it's essentials, everything thrives when you love it and everything dies when you don't.

I had 2 pet snakes, owned at the same time, the one was an albino corn snake and the other was a normal brown ball python. I've owned everything from birds to hamsters to cats and dogs but what fascinates me about snakes more than any other animal I had is how they grow. I got them both as tiny hatchlings. I got the corn snake first and I knew it was gonna be a hatchling but had no idea exactly how tiny they are as hatchlings. I was fascinated when I first saw it, it was literally as long and thin as an earthworm but it has this bright vibrant red and white patterning (just google a picture). The whole thing could practically wrap around my finger. You see the hatchlings in pictures but in person you realise how tiny they are. It was there coolest thing ever, and then watching it get bigger and bigger as the months go by is such a cool part about the whole experience

reptiles are awesome. and it has always been weird to me. there are a lot more people scared of snakes than they are of lizards. and i think it is partly because some think all snakes are venomous because some are venomous. but i think its mostly because people are often taught snakes are evil monsters.

I know all the facts about these two snakes and i would still rather be in closed up space with pit viper than anaconda, there is something about just even having to be near a snake that looks like it does, i think i might have a phobia against snakes because no matter how harmless or non venomous they are, still my worst nightmares are about snakes, and never have encountered one still.

Depends on where the guy is from in New Mexico on our farms we kill rattlesnakes on sight bc we have dogs and little kids and old people on our property and if you don’t they get out of control that we don’t kill bull snakes and we use ammonia to deter them as well also we have a road runner hut when you’re on property that doesn’t belong to you especially trails and wildlife refuges leave all the life alone
