How to Care For Your Pet Rock

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Contrary to popular belief, your pet rock requires meticulous care. I made this video for my final project for a college video production class. Enjoy and LOL!

Just to warn beginners out there. Do not go for the rough big ones. Even though they're cheap. They can get very aggressive and territorial. If they see you as a pushover, they'll do things to try telling you that they're stronger. They often do this if they like your house, but not you. I had a hellish experience with my old one. Here's a story. It broke windows, brought dead bugs, and then soon dead rats on the rug in my bedroom. I always lock the bedroom door at night, but it somehow gets in. Of course, we had to get rid of it. But even when we released it back in the wild, it found its way back to my house in a few hours. The day after that, I found that it severely injured my cat. We had to get the cat to the vet, he even lost one eye. That was the final straw, my next course of action was clear, I knew I had to put it down. So I filled a bucket of water, threw it in, and shut the lid. Trapping it inside. I waited for it to hopefully drown in there. After that night, nothing happened. It couldn't escape the bucket. To make sure, I opened the bucket, dried it off, and laid it on the floor. Once again, nothing happened, for the entire day. It passed away. I felt a sense of accomplishment, but I also felt guilty. Even though it was dangerous, I still felt some compassion for it. I was thinking if what I did was too far. Now for the disposal. I wasn't cruel enough to just throw it in the trash bin, but I wasn't gonna give it a honorary burial either. So the next morning, we drove far away and buried it in the soil. I never saw it again. That's the end of that story. My new pet rock isn't nearly as a terror, I love it. And it gets along well with my cat. I hope no one else has to go through something like this.

Yeah, I found that out too late. I remember I had managed in finding a rare Igneous breed of Rhyolite. I don't know why, but it already took several days to hunt it down and get it out of the trap it fell in as well as several people. But After getting it, I decided to bring it home for it's healing process. It's even worse if they are of the female species, as she was quite rowdy and made noises at 3 am like sliding concrete. Sometimes when I blink I think it moved closer, even while asleep. I don't mean walking either, it was like it moved at mach 1. It'd appear in the kitchen, and when I water my plants, it appears outside. No sign of door opening either, nor the grains that normal pet rocks leave behind when they do move. I believe it had something to do with my TV getting a large, suspiciously rock-shaped hole in it. Or maybe I watched TV too much. Truely a terror to behold. However, I soon found out, this was because, it was indeed lonely, and wild. Therefore, Instead, I mostly let them stay outside unless in rainy weather, as we do not want too much erosion after all. It seems they have found another friend, with a Wild Dolomite as well.

This is animal abuse! A rock can't possibly live long in such a small area! You need at least 5 square feet of area for the rock to freely explore. Also, when you sprayed the water, you got some on the rock. You can only get the water on the food. Spraying water on rocks can be VERY dangerous, as it can turn them completely blind! When making a video like this, at least have some decency and take the time to do some research! UNBELIEVABLE! 😤😡

My rock is metamorphic and normally drinks it's water daily. But my rock is not eating the pebbles. She's been eating bananas. Yes I said bananas. I'm not sure if this is good for her... She's been doing this for a few months now. And she's really young to, so it may be to big for her. Konii (My other rock) is eating a daily mix of chicken and pebbles. Sometimes rice and pebbles. She is senametary, and I heard it's ok for them to eat that. But she hates the rock polish... I'm cussing because when I first got her at a rescue center she was just a baby but was abused by getting polished and got a huge scar. Is there anything else I can clean her with...? Peir is another rock. He is a good boy eating his pebbles daily. He drinks out of grass and sometimes hay. But sometimes he eats some of the grass or hay, I don't know if this is bad but if it is what do I do? Rocko was found in the Arizona dessert and lives in a three foot glass tank filled with wood chips, a heater, snake shead, and a water bowl because he dose not drink water from gotten balls. All my rocks are healthy but I don't know if I'm giving them proper care. Please reply back...

You might need to rethink the first rock’s breed. Igneous rocks are the only kind that aren’t cannibals. Maybe the pebbles were the things that were hurting it. But that is assuming it is igneous. You should take it to the vet first before assuming it’s breed

Drawing/painting on rocks is cruel. Rocks are born with faces that the human eye just can't see. By giving them a new one you can block there vision, make them feel uncomfortable, and possibly poison them! Please talk to your vet or rockotoligest about getting it removed. And leashes are not ment for rocks.

Rocks prefer burial. Dig a deep hole, throw in petals, a sincere goodbye note, some of your rocks's favourite belongings, and build a wall around it. Place in your rock and surround him/her/them with soft cotton. Put a roof on the rock's afterlife vehicle, cover it with more petals and soil. Put a headstone and collapsible, biodegradable materials to smooth the journey to the afterlife and you're done! Visit every once a day with a sincere letter addressed to Whenwemeetagain13, place on the tombstone and your rock will be at peace.

Ah, they (it's more polite than referring to them as an inanimate being) may have synesthesia. For rocks, however, it's different and they eat using sight, smell, touch and sound only. Pasting a picture, playing music, making textured toys or putting pleasant scents in a potpourri are advisable.

My rock's original habitat was in the river so now it wants to go in the water but i'm afraid it's going to drown. What do I do?

RandomCat If his natural habitat was in water, he shouldn't drown. If you still aren't sure though, try testing him in a bathtub or sink.

Make a small pond for him, observe if he won't drown and make it as deep as necessary. Put it in a separate pen so you can supervise him. Add toys and slides as you wish.
