Hi Amit....you are doing a wonderful job and I am a big fan of your videos and channel. But I have few doubts regarding my Flowerhorn and it's my earnest request to you to answer those. I had those questions posted in facebook Flowerhorn groups and even asked my Aquarium shop owner, but none of them were able to answer properly. My questions are: 1) How frequently should water be changed? Is it okay to change 40 to 50% water every week with complete tank wash once a month? 2) Is it okay to give medicines (Anti bacterial and Anti fungal) in water post partial or complete water change? (I have medicines like Bactonil and Paracidol). 3) How many pellets of food should be fed and how many times in a day? (I have Hikari Bio Gold Plus, Ocean Free foods like Ever Red, Humpy Head and Super Red Syn). Also my new Flowerhorn is just 4 months old now. Is it advisable to feed Blood worms now? If yes, then in what quantity and how many times a week? Is it required to starve my fish for one whole day in a week? 4) Is it okay to keep sand/gravel at tank bottom or should I keep a clean bottom? Is Sand/Gravel bottom harmful for Flowerhorns? (The Pet Store guy says it's necessary to give sand/gravel in bigger tanks). 5) How to set and fix water temperature between 28°C to 30°C. I have a digital water thermometer and heater as well. But the temperature remains between 32 to 34°C. I use only Kaveri Water that we get in Bangalore for my tank. 6) How frequently should Flowerhorns be dewormed and which is the best medicine to do it? Can I use Metrogyl 400 for this purpose? Can I soak pellets in tablet solution and feed my Flowerhorn for deworming? Or is there any other procedure advisable? 7) Which all medicines are to be used to prevent deadly diseases like Hexamita, Fin Rot, white spots etc (Asking as my last Flowerhorn died recently of Hexamita. Medication also didn't work properly. ) I hope you will take some time out and answer these questions of mine. Heartfelt thanks to you.

Bhai great content, very good information on tank size, temperature. I don't agree on your food choices though, terrestrial meats are not good for fish. Most of the dry fish foods available in India use low quality ingredients, I feed food from northfin and NLS which can get expensive but something like hikari bio gold plus would be better than flowerhorn specific foods like okiko and humpy head Below is an excerpt from the Practical Fishkeeping Magazine and written by Dr. Burgess, titled; Liver Damage and Red Meats "The routine of feeding beef heart and other red meats to Cichlids can ultimately give rise to health problems. Poultry meat is also suspect. Red meats, including lean meats such as beef heart, contain the wrong sorts of fats - these harden within the cold-blooded fish, leading to blockages and fatty deposits around the liver. Also, the relative proportions of amino acids within the mammalian proteins are different to those required by fish. Hence, feeding red meats will cause the cichlid to excrete more nitrogenous (ammonia) wastes, thereby placing an extra burden on the biological filter."

Bro I got a flower horn from my Friend and it’s just 1-2 inch size and I think it’s of ₹100 so is it an Indian flower horn and the upper fin of the fish has no spots so I think it’s a male flower horn as I had seen many people talking about it if the baby flower horn has no spots on its upper fin it’s a male fish but I think it’s a Indian breed so does the fish will grow it’s head as other fish???
