You know that Martin is concentrating and getting serious when he doesn't get in a left and right handed spray gun flip!!!! 😮😧😧😂🤣😂
I just did my first hardtail frame using your videos as a guide. It came out absolutely perfect....like a new car's paint job. It took 4 weeks of prep and painting but totally worth the patience.

Been missing these videos! LOVE watching Martin create!
Thanks for the video Martin, wonderful work. I never realised how easy it was to achieve such a beautiful finish until I saw this video! 😉
there's so much value on this video. I love it. Subscribed!
Thanks, that is the best video. I paint bikes myself, and everything you do and use reflects my experience. You are way ahead of me, so I say that with respect and to let other viewers that you have it right. .. sanding that last clear coat to get the logo on is heartbreaking, but it's got to be done. Good tip about the sandpaper on the sponge. Thanks again.
Happy too see Sandra back in action! Something even Trek cannot afford to have

Really nice paintjob! So liquid metal goes over non-sanded clearcoat? Wonder if finish would be different if you sanded clear with 2000grit then finished with 3000 machine sander.
Awesome)
Great video😮 Can you also make a video of restoring paint with spray cans?
Wow … Awesome video and artwork. May I ask what is the best way to keep the paint art mint while keeping the integrity of the carbon intact? I was thinking about ceramic coating or PPF. How would the pain hold up with PPF and the sun or heat if I may ask?
Y recuerdo cuando se reían de los juguetes japoneses por usar estos colores . Se ve hermosa . Saludos
I have a chromoly frame from the 80s, can the metal be polished to make it mirror-like, then a 2k clear coat, and then add color or is it necessary to paint with chrome first?
Please review the ventilation and heating of the paint booth.
Hello Martin! The reflective power of the chrome always go down by a lot when I put the clearcoat on top of it… does this intercoat help to keep it reflective? Since you did apply the candy I cannot really say…
Do you recommend to spray the bike in chrome with regular chrome spray cans, if done properly? I want to paint my old mountain bike and chrome looks really nice. For information: its a spray can thought for painting car parts.
Another awesome job!!

I painted my bicycle today and i painted my other bicycle about a week ago just primer it was plated with nickel or chrome and i didnt have best adhesion didnt do much prep
which transfer paper are you using...it seems really low tack
That is attracted to my heart 😍😍😍😍
Friend, what liquid do you use to clean before painting? alcohol?
hi, first of all, congratulations, you are very good! 👍🏻 Unfortunately, I didn't understand everything about paints! I can't speak English very well! could you please describe exactly what paint you used to achieve the final result, the order in which you used the paints and the mixing ratio, what are the names of these paints? Thank you in advance for your reply. My little girl's dream is to be like this for bmx Kind regards, Roland
Have you tried to do temperature change colors on bicycles? I think it would be interesting for those who want a warmer color in winter and a colder color in the summer. What do you think?

Hello @ETOE, thanks for your videos, your work is amazing. You inspired me to paint my bike from Montana GOLD can, like in one of your videos, and i was pretty satisfied with result at first, but when i started using my bike i noticed that paint was really soft, when i stripe my bike to bike rack on the car i see dents on paint from stripes, and on the top frame tube paint come off almost to the primer or carbon. (it never happened with my original paint) I put 3-4 layers of paint and let it dry 10-15 minutes between coats and let it dry completely for 2 days, after i put 2-3 layers of 2K of clear coat and let it dry for few days. Maybe i did something wrong? I did it outside and the temperature was different in different days (from 22 to 33 +-) I will appreciate your answer a lot... paint was really good, but all ruined because of softness of paint or clear coat.

You trapped too much solvents in the paint caused by a lack of painting skills. Remove the complete paint job and start all over again with professional paints ( no spray cans) in a climate controlled environment if you want to achieve a factory like finish.

@@ETOE thanks a lot for answer. Maybe if I gonna use heat gun, a bit, to help paint to dry, or it's not possible to get good result with can paint ? I thought this 2k clear coat should make it really strong )
Honestly you can get a nice result with mtn chrome paints.
If I ever buy my dream gravel bike, it's going straight to Martin for a respray.

Go ahead
Das ist schon ziemlich geil.
Amazing job, fantastic finish. One question: the decals are there at the end so I assume they have a raised finish from the rest of the frame, which I find disappointing. What's the reason you didn't paint an original white layer, then mask using the vinyl, apply the paint job then removing the vinyl just for the final clear coat? Wouldn't this give a smoother finish? I'm sure you have your reasons for a professional finish!
@EmilyHorridge
8 ай бұрын
I'd hazard a guess at the reason being that if you did a white layer on the black/clear coat, and then applied the chrome, intercoat-clear, candies, and then clear-coat, that's many more layers of paint above the white, so more difference in layer thickness as compared to the single white layer under the final clear. Also you could apply a final clear coat, sand it back to smooth off particularly around the logos, and re-apply.
holy moly.
That's some fine work. Good job. The colors is a bit too much for my taste. I liked it at the point where it looked like a steel bike and some black and white graphics added.
How smooth is the your clear coat by the time your done? I have LPH 80 1.2 mm E4 but I always get spit in my clear or is it solvent pop. Thanks
@ETOE

It should be as smooth as a mirror and never bin touched before applying the chrome.
Hey, cooles bike!!! Was für ein plotter ist das?
