you said max. battery capacity usable is 80 percent. to overcome it you are multiplying it with 1.2 right? now find the 80% of multiplied value, you will get 96 which is less then we required. solution: you must have to multiply with 1.25 to overcome 80%.

No, 1.2 is correct, let me explain you. We need 750W if we consider 80% we will use means a 20% loss. So 750*0.2 =150 So we need 150 extra so 750+150=900 W

@@nitin4171 if there is loss of 20%, then the figure of 750W should be divided by 80% to arrive at 100% value which is 937.5

1.25 is correct. If a battery has 80% efficiency and we need 750w after the loss in power, we need to find a battery wattage whose 80% = 750w. 80% of X = 750w 0.8 × X = 750w X = 750w / 0.8 X = 937.5 w 937.5 w / 750 w = 1.25 750w × 1.25 = 937.5

Voltage will be constant according to the battery max voltage while the current must be constant according to the cell C rating. Higher rate of charging current will heat up the cells and damage the battery pack.

sir i have 2kw, 48v motor. i want 100km range at maximum speed of 1) 30 kmph and 2) 60 kmph. for both case if i calculate i found that battery capacity required for 1) 30 kmph is 173 AH, and 2) 60 kmph is 87 AH. now this means that for higher speed, battery capacity required is less whareas for lower speed, battery capacity required is high. i can't understand that how it is possible. i mean motor placed in e rickshaw with maximum speed of 60kmph will definetly run at lower speed in traffic. so how it is possible...?

+chirag patel your premise is wrong. The calculation is based on max speed possible for the bike/car and not at what max speed you want to drive it.
simple AH x 2 = kilometer range right 20 AH X 2 = 40 km range
