What is an economic base formula for oils using coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter

Is Castor oil a good choice for soap, I read it can make soaps gard if too much is used. Also what is the ideal temperature for the Lye & Oils

Cadtor alters the lather and makes the bars softer not harder. We cover temperatures in most of our videos :)

Hi Sarah, soapcalc is easy and I love it. Unfortunately it no longer works when I get to the final point of calculating the recipe. It comes up error. It’s been doing this for weeks.

Will it not calculate for me how much water to use? That's my problem because I don't know the numbers I just know how much oil I'm using and need something to calculate how much water and lye I need.

water is a range and the calculator will show you the water amounts too when yu calculate

If you are adding puree how is the calculation done?

Purees are part of your water amount and have no relation to the lye calculation which is based on your oils :)
