Here in the town i live in the "JUDGES" get together at the resturant a couple blocks from the crt house after they get done putting some drunk drivers in jail for a SHIT TON of time and proceed to get hammered then get in their cars drunk as a grade school kid who snuck shots of mommy & daddy's naughty love juice!!!!! Ive watched these Hypocrites Swerving inside and out of the lanes and then get on the freeway and do 78 miles an hour drunk as f*** And not get pulled over and do the same thing a couple times a week.

@@romeotorres3263 Wrong. When you go back in to run the device, it will show a bypass because the car is running without a test being taken.

does anyone know for sure if the device records driving while its locked out and bypassed

Do you mean a killswitch for the breathalyzer? If you do that the device will show a violation when you have to recalibrate it every couple months and there are consequences for that.

@@tylerbonser7686 well good thing i dont drink. i just feel like these breathalizer units are vulnerable and probly very easy to bypass, more than likely due to the state cutting corners and being cheap. i mean if thats all there is just splicing into a power source for install im sure there is just as simple of a way to bypass and have the unit keep power

@@halfpintpersonality5943 well the state has nothing to do with these devices, it's private companies that produce and monitor them. But yes you could bypass it like this video shows but like I said, you have to service them every couple of months and they download recorded data. It will show that the vehicle moved without doing a breath test. At minimum you will get fined and will likely have the time extended you need this or lose your license again.

It can be bypassed simply. There's the line to the ignition, a line for power and a line that reports to the device that the engine is running. It doesn't connect to OBDII so it DOES NOT know the vehicle moved, don't spread misinformation. It knows if the engine is running and if it's running, and didn't log a blow.... Violation. If you pull the negative on the battery, disconnect those three wires and reconnect the ignition wire they spliced into. You can drive normally. Period.

@@halfpintpersonality5943 they are easy to bypass and such but if you’re required to have it in your car the device will log that information and it will get reported and end up in a violation. There are also features like it makes you hum while blowing, or suck in after blowing in order to prevent stuff like that and cameras are sometimes required too, making it even more difficult to cheat it. It also makes you blow from time to time after you start the car. The best way to deal with requirement of these devices is to just deal with it honestly and if someone does drink, wait 12 hours after stopping drinking to attempt a start. The morning after is the cause of many test failures as many people wake up, feel sober, but still would blow too high.

I’d just get them to take it out and refuse to pay lol

You don't want to Tamper with that if they are monitoring you the unit that you send back into them every other month will detect when it was disconnected and at that point you blow condition set down by the court

Definitely not worth it if you're required to have it but in his situation not really a big deal.

not worried about 12volts........ None of us are but we are worried about frying the computers or whatever because you didn't un hook the battery
