An elderly very wealthy man I know has the front bumper from this car when Colin crashed it he retrieved it and returned to the service stage and Colin signed it for him and told him to keep it front corner missing to the man has it hanging in his personal museum.

Motorsport seats are actually pretty comfy. They have to be, you're being shook up all day (and beyond) and can't afford to have seats that don't fit you perfectly. This does mean that not everyone fits each seat, they come in sizes and styles to suite individuals and event types.

Ive sat in Andrew Cowans works Mitsubishi Lancer her win Australia from back in the late 70s and this Focus is like a limousine in comparison. So much more tech in this car.

It seemed like you had plenty of headroom in the cabin even with your helmets on. The mk1 is known for it's headroom and ability to accomodate even tall drivers with or without hats.

I am also a big rally fan and I can imagine, this is a dream come true. You're a lucky man. Congratulations.

Random fact, that's the exact car used in Colin McRae Rally 3. Same number plate, event stickers everything from Rally Catalunya 2002, not sure if it had the dual gear stick.

They used to get them standard then put them on a jig and cut the bottom out and weld the new tunnel and everything else in place so each one was exact

Brilliant to see this but if it was mine I'd be having it on track just to drive it then again its been set up for tarmac id have it out on the B roads

That's really freakin' cool, and this is definitely the rally car I'd get if I could as well. I wonder how much work (and money) would be needed to turn a normal 1999-2004 ford focus into nearly this sort of car (obviously one that I understand sufficiently to ACTUALLY drive on the road).

Great cars but extremely boring to listen to the big guy repeat himself constantly, could be so much better
