@@HansWick At the end of the video he explained how it works.. Basically he bought the car for 1,100$ and for that amount difference (600$) he'd get 60 laps penality. But the rules allow to resell some non safety parts and come closer as possible to 500$. Then he sold some of the parts of the cars like the radio, wood, speakers and few more things. Subtract the resell from the initial price and he got 540$ budget car with 4 laps penality. :)

Dude...you are so god damn likable. That "select your driver" thing was amazing. On days like today, I just queue up random videos you've made and try to absorb as much knowledge as I can as I start my journey into being self-sufficient with my cars. Little things like that just make the experience that much more enjoyable!! Love it. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching.

Truth

I got a 2005 BMW 325i for 2k. It was misfiring, but the body was clean, a few manageable dings and scratches, botched interior, but it was practically rust free. Rare for a used car in my area, so it was a big win. 2 blocks after driving it from the buyer upper radiator hose blew. Had to walk an hour around the city to find a replacement, and use the tools of a friendly old guy to get her going. I knew going in it was going to be a lot of work to make it reliable. So far, I've rebuilt the vanos, replaced the coil packs, sparkplugs, coolant lines, exhaust intake boots, mass airflow sensor, fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, thermostat, water pump, and flushed and replaced all the fluids. It was frustrating, painful, and freaking awesome.

I’m a tire tech and I would recommend the continental Xtreem contacts they are aggressive street tire, sticky on the track and where well. They have a tread where of 500-600. AA on traction. A on temp and W speed rating which good for about 160 mph. 👍🏻

This is honestly a very great way for somebody to learn how to work on cars. Just follow thee videos while tearing a car apart, do the race, then expand on your knowledge by learning how to build it back up but in your own way.

Your passion is contagious yet I don’t even own a car. Was initially looking at rust repair for a first cheap car I’ll get from a friend. This is great content. Good job!

I bought my Mazda 3 2.0 1st gen sedan for a mere €500. She was running perfectly motor wise but was meant for export due to rusty sills. I bought her anyways as she was everything I was looking for. She has the full luxery pack on her, right color, leather interior ect... people called me foolish for buying her. But here I am, nearly a year further and she is my daily ride. She's getting new Koni struts soon with H&R lowering springs. She's my project car and I'm happy with her. Your video's has helped me with doing certain maintaince stuff. Always a pleasure watching your videos

You kinda get used to it after doing this stuff a while. But it still takes me like 30min to replace my spark plugs cuz i meticulously gap them. And maintenance, it’s never really easy and fun, rust will ruin your day. Importantly, you still saved money by doing your coils and sparks on your own.

tbh with you chris you started abouting the looks of the exterior i got upset in my head i was like ' like damn chris i wish i had car atm all i can do now is bike everywhere id love a car rn my damn clutch, alternator, and thing that hold the shifter in place broke not the linkage but the thing thats hold the shifter in place broke. You can sell: carpets, side indicators, spare wheel, set with spanners that is in trunk cover, sunroof (you'll remove it anyway), glove box, engine cover (plastic), BMW "kidneys" (silver/black in front of a hood - where you open hood - replace them with mesh) - radio and audio system. Do not know what rules says about: inside door panels, back seats + safety belts and lots of other inside parts.

All the window motors. Just lock them in place. Door trim. Dash board. Spoiler. Spare tire and jack. Accessory anything lol. The factory exhaust and sensors. Ac compressor

@@adisomahic2117 yeah I had a 2006 325Ci and I loved it, but I had 3 oil leaks one from the main seal and got them fixed back to back, and my radiator leaked all the time, I traded it for a 2013 yzf1

I got a 1969 Camaro that runs and looks great, no rust at all, it was kept in a garage. Got it just by cutting an old lady's yard this summer. I was honest and told her it was worth alot she said "I know I just want it gone" gave it to me up front also lol beautiful blue color with dual white racing stripes.

Chris fix just so you know l have become obsessed with Honda del sol it’s just such a cool small car because of you l want to get a del sol as my first car and they have good gas mileage so that’s one reason and all the cool features you are the best
