I’ve been making my own budgie toys and playgrounds for awhile now. I find that I can make exactly what my budgies want because I know their preferences. I’d rather do that than go to the pet store and hope that they have what I want :)

I'm from Bangladesh... many people believe here that budgies are meant to live in 10*12 inch cages, not in open air, let alone toys and other things, finding it hard to get proper materials here

I wish I could make this but I can’t cus I’m in quarantine so I don’t have the materials

I just build a custom stand for my budgie cage! It wasn't the cheaper option by any means but it turned out awesome and it fits the room so well and my budgies love it!

Idea of making your own play gym is good but with little concerns that could be addressed Rope - could be ingested by the birds (could cover it with vet wrap) Loops - hazardous as the birds could get tangled (could use solid swings) Wooden clips - ok if the colours are bird safe ( could get the plain ones paint yourself) A ladder if added (may be DIY one) could create more fun 🙂
