How to Build Trust With Customers with Seth Godin

What are the best trust-building strategies for marketers? In this episode of Revenue Rockstars, Greg welcomes Seth Godin, best-selling author and entrepreneur, to talk about how to build trust with customers and how marketing, sales, and revenue growth tactics have fundamentally changed over the years.
Seth speaks on why customers have a lack of trust in brands these days and how to regain the trust of brands and consumers by making a better product/service. He explains what marketers can do to impact the product and integrate successful unique storytelling into your marketing strategy. Seth and Greg also highlight the importance of demonstrating empathy, trustworthiness, and deeply understanding your target market.
Plus, Seth shares his candid thoughts on the difference between being marketing-driven and being market-driven and why consistency is more important than authenticity.

"Figure out how to get people to hear about you from someone they trust, as apposed to being bothered (by you)" I think customers really want to communicate with businesses but, businesses have forgotten how to communicate with customers. In this digital world, time has become our most precious resource and currency. When businesses allow their representatives to take the time to communicate on a personal level with their customers, we feel valued and will tell people who trust us about their great experiences. I don't want a 3 minute conversation with a discount code for my troubles, I want to be heard, understood and reassured that a company will do better. I don't want a generic letter thanking me for my nice comments, I want someone to take the time to write back to me and feel like a personal connection has been created.
