Great video! For anyone starting this project a unibit or stepper drill makes easy work of the holes and they turn out perfectly round.

Glad you did too. We were fishing ours today and had tons of BIG bream hanging around and a few good bass. We have crystal clear water so they are loving the structure. Thanks for stopping by to comment.

The stainless-steel screws are a good idea, but a cheaper way is to just drill a few large holes in the bottom of the pipe and the concrete will go into these holes and you will never get the pipe out again.

So you're saying place the tubing in and then just pour the quick crete in from the top and let dry, instead of the screws?...
@Bohunk101011 ай бұрын
Very clever use of cardboard boxes. Request permission from a local contractor and do some dumpster diving for free random length pvc and pex piping.

You’ve got to stay tuned for some upcoming videos. I literally just went to the local plumbing supply last week and asked to go through the stuff they couldn’t sell as new. Got a ton of good stuff and am planning some epic structure. Thanks for watching.

We haven’t yet. We lost a swim bait to one the other day. Hook was just the right size to fit around the tube and it didn’t slide off. Ended up breaking the line. Rode over it in the boat and could see it on the top tube. Tube still was in place.

Hello! I got some questions. First off, how long is the width of the Poly tubes? Second, what was the length of the pvc segments you used on the one you build on camera? And last what was the size of the bag of Quickcrete you used to make the habitat? Thank you and I loved this project so much it inspired me for my upcoming Eagle Scout Project : ) !

Poly tubes were about 36”. PVC was about 4ft. And the Quikrete bags were 60lb. Hope your project turns out great.

@@MRVNgotEM that’s completely up to you. If you want it tight and thick for baitfish to hide in you will need a bunch but if you just want a little open structure to fish, you could just use a few.

Its harder to snag on smoothed plastic than it is wood/stone. Under water plastic will last a long time. More than 50 years for sure. Maybe 100 years.
