I couldn't find a detailed video showing how to build my own garden steps of flagstone so I did my research and went it on my own. I hope it helps you!

Meticulous.planning, followed by precise execution , a feeel good narration, the artistic show act was appearently not rehearsed therefor beyond critique, but you deserve praise for not cutting it out of your video. As I‘m approaching the same task on an almost identical ter4ain I‘ most greatful for giving me a blueprint of how to approach my project! Most likely will skip the dance and will yodel instead, for the birds!

Great work, the only caveat I might add is that the steps have basically become a retaining wall. Over time it will require maintenance as all things do but to help prevent shifting and cracking I'd say maybe compacting the soil prior might help prevent washout and shifting or sinking. Hard to know what kind of dirt your on but generally it's sound practice.

GOOD to see you can still jump around It was very good that you gave the formulas and location for formulas (most omit that VERY important information). If you used smaller aggregate and wetted it, would have compacted better (less settling later on) and putting a small board under the wood "stick" would have done better job of compacting (BUT you use what you got when you have it ............. par for the course). GREAT JOB, stairs look very good (get rid of the older ones make your job shine much better)

I'd use road base instead of crushed rock because it has sand and fines, it compacts much better. Better yet one could really mix cement with the road base, wet it level it and compact it. No expensive quikcrete needed.
