The Vickers G.O (gas operated) was heavily used by sepcial forces as its locking mechanism was far more resistant to jamming under dirty operating conditions than the water cooled Vickers or the Bren gun. It was also shorter and lighter than the Water cooled Vickers, and had a larger magazine and highre fire rate than the Bren.

I'm new to Bolt Action and love your content but your advice has been so good my only sparring partner is at risk of leaving the game in protest, please make a US Marine specific video to pull him back from the brink.

Run 3 BAR per squad. Thats it. One of the best infantry units in the game.

I feel rifles and vickers are best bang for the buck as you could go semi defensive. But can still fight. Thinking a flank harassment unit.

I think with the vickers k machine gun was just an use of excess weaponary from the RAF after they swapped to a belt fed machine guns.

Does it seem like a little waste of points with the smgs as commandos have tough fighter innately?

You still get assault, whether that's worth 3 pts is up to you.

That would be fantastic. Perhaps an old Empire kit from Warhammer Fantasy

Warlord did a special figure of Mad Jack.

I saw Warlord giving a model of him with one of their supplement books (as a free gift)
