Melanie, this is an excellent video for people who want to start a career/business in event planning. I love how you explained step by step the process that people need to know to get started. I've worked in the hospitality industry years ago and I know alot about what you're saying, having worked with event planners, caterers, florists, etc. This is great information for people who are searching to hire an event planner, as well. Hello there! You are so very appreciated for your content. I’ve been on the wall about doing this. I did my best friend’s wedding and I was disappointed because so many things went wrong last minute. It turned out nice and since I did it for free to build my inventory and experience, she was ever grateful and satisfied. I needed help more than I knew. Being a planner is about more then just having the materials. I’m more the wiser now, watching your videos. I’ve got a good base (blk/wht) collection to cover 150 people. That’s table covers, chair covers, bar stool covers, bar table covers n both colors. I also got 200 ea silver and gold chair sashes, table runners, cloth napkins, and plate chargers. Because I’m very crafty, I made very elegant centerpieces, wedding arch, aisle pedestals and flower wall. I also did all the flower deco. I sold the centerpieces and arch afterwards to the venue owner who was enamored by them. In total I made almost 50 beautiful items. I was just too lazy to bring them back home. I know better now tho. Now I’m on a mission to start my actual business. You are my first step in the right direction into this world. Thank you. In this video you mentioned a video that features 5 must have, gold centerpieces. I couldn’t find it. Could you please give me the link? Thank you again for what you do. You are AWESOME!!!

Wish I watched this before my first event. My client wanted silver and white. I went ahead and bought a lot of silver vases but most clients are requesting for gold. Good thing is I can spray them gold (I hope it works)

I am grateful, for all your tips, it helps me a lot, I want to become involve in my friends an family events I love decorating, the red you have on in the intro looks fabulous, I can imagine it's how Queen Ester Looked like

This is exactly what i did. I brought 20 round white linens and 100 white banquet chair covers 😅 and added in like 10 purple satin table cloths

Hi Melanie, I'm so glad i watched this. I've been contemplating selling some of my stagnant inventory and my chairs. I'm paying an exorbitant amount of money for storage, transportation thereof and back which most of the time is over 200km in distance, maintenance etc and they're not paying for themselves. Great video, thank you so much.
