Hey man! It’s good to hear from you again! It’s fun coming up with weird ideas for Wizard builds - there’s a lot of options with this game!
One thing about the Witch is that they can have Summon Demon as aligned spell. Good to give them something to do first turn, but really shines when you add Control Demon and buy the summoning circle for the base so they can cast it as out of game.

I've yet to try building a Wizard taking advantage of the Out-of-Game Summoning with all the Base Resource items. It seems like it would be pretty powerful once you have all the stuff in place.
Curious stuff. I'd be curious to see more specific themed builds. Like "jedi", "gunslinger" etc. Have a merry christmas!

👍Some thematic builds could be fun. I’ll keep that in mind for some future Wizard Builds. Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thanks Monster Painter, my channel analytics seem to agree with that statement! These tend to get more views than most of my other content. 😄
Definitely tried to do something similar focusing on bringing a Greater Demon into play grandfathering in from 1e, didn't think of some of the options.

A Sunmoner with Leap, Summon Demon, and Control Demon could take a lot of OoG Spells and be pretty strong. I’d probably take Raise Zombie, Animal Companion, Reveal Secret, and Animate Construct, then Wall or Elemental Bolt (since Elementalist have no OoG Spells). They could do some serious work. I considered giving the Witch in this build Summon Demon so they could eventually use it out of game with some items…but that also needs Control Demon to work.
Interesting build! Since your spellcasters can't really reach out and touch someone (except for Pushing someone off a height), I'd like to have some shooters in the warband.

Thanks! I’m a big fan of Rangers over the other shooting options, but I hate using all my starting money hiring them and I hate firing healthy Archers (I find my ranged figures don’t often fall due in the battlefield) to replace them with rangers. 😂 The team should hopefully get enough money to hire those 2 Rangers early on, so they might be replacing Thugs instead of Treasure Hunters. Melee will definitely be covered well enough with Bears and Constructs once the OoG spells start casting.
It's not a build I'd really considered, but very interesting! The Witch build could be a lot of fun

I think the Witch Build is probably more functional right out of the gates - Leap is strategically easier to use than Push, which requires some planning for which way figures lineup with the Spellcasters to be pushed.
Hmm, I already tend to spam leap, so that is not much of a restriction on me. I do find your bear obsession amuzing. Snow leapords are my go to. Fast, and can hunt down pesky archers/spell casters trying to stay safe in the high ground.

Snow Leopards do make great assassins like you mention! But yeah...Bears.😊
Your encyclopedic knowledge of this game.is so impressive! Love your vids. How many campaigns have you played with farming from bre potion? Is it really game breaking? Do you cap sales when you use it?

Thank you! I've played a fair number of games where I haven't gained 200gc from Treasure collecting, so being able to sell Brewed Potions (possibly two of them) for 200gc each is game-breaking in my opinion. But the game-breaking part is the sales table - even just finding Potions, they're usually better to sell than to use as a one-off item. I think that if all Potions sold for 25gc, the Spell could bring in some extra cash in a pinch, but would really encouraged players to test out the different in-game strategies the Spell and the Potion Table opens up. I try not to over-utilize it as a money-making tool, especially in 2nd Edition where money is harder to come by.

@@bricksblocksgaming8017 My personal house rule is that Lesser Potions have an ingredient cost equal to 90% of their selling price (80% if your wizard is based in a laboratory). It's a fair bit harsher than 25gc per potion, especially since you can fail and just lose your investment, but to my mind that's a good thing since it puts the focus squarely back on brewing potions that are intended for actual use. (It also means that you can still make bank if you happen to roll up a Potion of Preservation as loot.)
