This is awesome. Love the way you did the stone / building itself. Never seen this before compared to the foam carving I always see. Gonna have to try this method out one day. Happy to have stumbled on your page! Look forward to your content

DId you start with a 3D printed facade? If so, what program did you model it in? Thanks for sharing your process!!

What brand is the ceramic plaster
@Octopus_Scale_Models
10 ай бұрын
It is not a specific brand, I bought it from a local store (From Greece). it is a simple ceramic plaster.
Everything looks perfect and amazing, but just one criticism : The border between wall rocks and paint (not sure how to explain it, sorry about my English) , that area where you see the paint tearing, that frontier is too abrupt. You may have done it, looking at reference photographs, but it still looks fake. I don't know, maybe this wall you've made is a perfect copy of your reference photos, but this means that you should have cosen another corner, another part where that paint border, looked more realistic. I know this sounds crazy, since there is nothing more realistic than reality. But sometimes we have to discard a reference photograph and find another one.

Thank you for your kind words. The wall i saw looks like the one i have built. I tried my best. Also thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it !!! 😁😁

The yellow area on the wall is painted plaster/render. When render falls from a wall the edge will look just as the maker has done it.

@@Simonsimon-fy3hq I believe you. It's only this border what looks too abrupt for me. I am not sure if a real crack would look more random. The maker has already said that this wall has been done with some reference photographs, so I believe him/her. I mean: we live in a strange world, and things that are real, sometimes look unrealistic. For example, that stuff that germans added on tanks, zimmerit, someone who don't know about this stuff looks at a scale model with zimmerit and says to the maker: what the hell have you done?

I'm not a model maker so I know nothing about the process. Can we just agree that this maker(and lots of others) make some fantastic creations. And perhaps we can agree not to judge them too harshly for not producing photorealistic dioramas?@@eduardoalfonso4509
