Nice work (another thing to keep the wife happy?) ……. just kidding. Btw. thank for the metric numbers next to the imperial ones. Btw2. At 4:26 min …… “create two pairs” ……. one pair is enough (one pair is already two) Btw3. I wonder if only glueing will be strong enough, but …… I’m a beginner too so I’ve no clue 😊

Did I do the conversions correctly?! Do you usually round up to the nearest cm or how does it usually work!? Would love to be better!

@@DrewLarsenDesigns The conversions are correct. I know you “Americans” grew up with using the imperial system, however I understand that many Americans are switching over to the metric system because calculations are so much easier in metric. If you got some time (between listening to your wife what to build next 😂), watch one or more videos on KZread about Imperial vs. Metric. It will be confusing in the beginning but once you know how simple metric works, you’ll love the simplicity. Btw. in the States the metric system is already in use in some parts, such as in pharmacy (and others, which I can’t remember just now).

@@DrewLarsenDesigns Metric uses “units” like (in measurements): 1 meter = 10 decimeter = 100 centimeter = 1000 millimeter. So adding up and subtract goes in units (in measurements often in cm and/or mm) and no difficult numbers as used in imperial (3 1/4, 6 1/8 etc). You have to see it to get it. I’m not the person who can explain it. As I said …… watch some KZread videos. You have to see examples to understand the “simplicity” of the metric system.

That makes total sense! You did a great job explaining it! I will watch a few videos like you suggested and I will keep both (imperial and metric) in the videos so that everyone is included!

@@DrewLarsenDesigns If it's not much trouble ..... perhaps you should get a tape measure in metric (or a combination of metric and imperial). Doesn't have to be costly. Try to make something (for your wife this time 😂) and use the metric numbers. You'll get the hang of it. And thanks for including the annoying foreigners on the other side of the pond.
