This table is made of solid Cherry. It's designed to be used as a hallway table, entrance table, or sofa table. The wood grain in the drawer fronts is continuous with the apron and the drawer pulls are made of Bubinga. I added a small bead at the bottom of the apron and tapered legs as a design element. The front of the top has a slight curve and a 5° downward bevel. A link to the professional designs are provided below.

I love the long version build - it allows you to show us so many techniques that you would never have time to do normally (nor would you remember. to do so). Seeing these methods is SO IMPORTANT to those who do not have much experience. It serves to bring them along on their journey toward decent woodworking. Thanks and please keep it up.

+1 Totally agree. I also love to watch your techniques. I don't mind watching a 40 minute video because I learn from your tutelage Jon. Thanks for the build. p.s. That festool chop saw is a beast! It goes through the hardwood like it's butter. Can you tell us your blade details and tooth pattern please?

Agree! Definitely keep filming longer format builds.
appreciate the longer format video that covers the build from beginning to end
I especially love the Jimi Hendrix print in your living room. Fantastic!
I loved this. Reminds me of the "old days" when you could actually learn something on KZread instead of just being "influenced". Your wall-mounted console inspired me to make a similar unit for myself and there are definitely some ideas in this project that will find their way into future projects of my own.

If you're being "influenced" instead of learning things, you aren't watching the right channels.
Beautiful, and I appreciate that no Dominos were hurt in the filming of this video!
Love it. I’ll sit and watch this any day over most stuff on tv. Makes me miss old PBS woodworking shows. Thanks.
Love the long format from high quality content creators such as yourself Jon. 👍🏻
Jon, this video was so helpful for me while beginning my woodworking hobby. It gave me TONS of ideas, and tips for building table and drawers. Thanks so much!!

That’s great to hear! Thank you!
Beautiful piece. I really enjoyed this video, the long format was excellent, I picked up loads of tips and tricks. And it's just very pleasurable to watch a master craftsman at work! More of this please! 👍😁
Great job on a great project Jon. I love these more detailed videos. Hope to see more of them. Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Me too... I also appreciate the longer format video that covers the build from beginning to end. You are a talented craftsman Jon. Thanks for sharing.
Jon I'm so glad to see you're getting back to doing detailed videos like this. It's the whole reason I started watching you and I imagine there are many others who feel the same way. Job well done. Keep up the great work
I loved the detailed video!!! I am a visual learner so seeing the steps you take greatly help me. I still can't believe you can draw a straight line straighter with your finger nail than I can with a straight edge :) as always great work!
Nice Job Jon, I want to build this for my wife. You are a blessed man Sir!
Jon, your videos are exceptional, your craftsmanship is second to none. Thank you for what you have given to the community 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for sharing your gifts, talent & knowledge. You inspire me to keep trying. Thank you Jon. Beautiful piece of art!
I have really missed you doing these types of furniture projects. I;ve been watching your channel for years. I even made your blanket chest and will be starting your headboard in the near future. Your long format is great because you give out lots of information and you're a great craftsman Jon. Keep them coming!
I love these types of detailed videos, many woodworkers are charging for this type of detail, thanks for giving it away!
Great work! You’re such an inspiration to me I am 29 years old and I just started getting into this great craft. Thank you for everything you creat and for sharing your experience.
Jon, thank you for this "long" video. A detailed version such as this is great.
John, this was a great video and perfect timing for me. After making several cabinets and bookshelves for my house, I am currently making my first furniture piece, a flat file, work bench for my daughter,
Love the long form detailed tutorial here. It’s a beautiful piece!
I like the longform! Can't always watch in one sitting, but I can always pause and come back. Beautiful table Jon!
Watched and enjoyed every minute of this Jon, thank you!
Fantastic tutorial!! Exactly what I was looking for to help me along my build. And my favorite take away from this is how u kept measurements without continuously picking up the measure tape. Will use that most definitely 😃. Thank you kindly for your content
I really like the way you had the face and draw fronts follow the grain pattern. The color of the wood it fantastic.
Thanks for the way you did this. Makes me feel that I can build this with the tools and skill set I have. I’m a huge fan of hand cut dovetails in furniture; my skills just aren’t there yet.
Well done Jon. Wasn’t planning on being able to watch the whole video at one time, but couldn’t turn it off. Great project. Inspiring
I always learn something from your videos. I appreciate the detailed description of each step. Great looking table! Thanks Jon.
Love the table, and looks great in your house.
Great build, Jon. Thanks for going to the trouble to put out a longer, more in depth video. I really enjoyed it. Hope you do more
Great, great, GREAT video Jon!!! I personally enjoy this type of long format video with all the details. Keep 'em coming!!!!
Absolutely beautiful table Jon! It is stunning! I love the continuous grain on the front and the different wood types for the drawers are a great touch!
Outstanding! My favorite style of furniture and my favorite wood! I could not ask for more!
Thanks for this video! I made a similar table. Went to this video throughout build. So helpful. My first drawer. More involved than I thought. Great video Jon. Beautiful table!
Really enjoyed the long format video, Jon. Would love to see more like this. Also, I really appreciate the time you take in your editing/production.
I’m commenting for the KZread algorithm :) I love those long length, in depth videos! Thanks Jon!
It’s very nice. Very clean which I love. For me , the whole pocket screw thing; I just don’t know yet. Certainly quicker and easier but...
As always another beautiful piece sir!!! I think my favorite thing is how you always add small details that ad up to a big wow factor!
PLEASE!! MAKE A VIDEO ON THAT AWESOME COFFEE TABLE!!!!!!! awesome video too, gonna have to make one!!!
Great video, Jon. As a beginner, I appreciate these longer format videos as they show some of the techniques, hints and tips that a shorter summary might skip over.
Jon, hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe. Great video and just wanted to add my vote for more videos like this as you mentioned. Thank you brother
Beautiful table Jon, You have a natural talent for delivery of your subject matter. It gives the viewer the confidence to say, I can build that. Well done.
Great video. I really enjoy these longer format videos. Feels like a true woodworking program
The best! Really enjoy complete builds WITH plans that you can buy. Keep doing what you are doing.
Thanks Jon, I personally prefer the longer, detailed videos. Hope you're keeping well.
What a beautiful piece of furniture. I would love more of those detailed videos. Thank you for posting this.
Beautiful cherry table with some nice touches like the beading at the bottom of the apron. Very nice build.
Thanks Jon. The quality of your builds and video production are outstanding.
THANK YOU! I am building a coffee table that is virtually identical to this project (only shorter, of course!), but I didn't know how to do continuous grain for the drawers in the apron. Now I do! I'm going to subscribe!
Really enjoy your teaching and thoroughness. Like this format over the abbreviated version.
The long video format really brings me back to watching new yankee with my dad as a kid -
Loved the video! Great to see all the step by step process. Beautiful addition to your home.
Amazing, just amazing! Love the long format and detail. Thanks!
Great design and build. Well explained too. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Jon. Cheers, Rob.
Amazing video! I'd personally love it if you put out more of these long format builds.
Beautiful! Very inspiring. Thank you, Jon!
Spax are my favorite screws. Love that you are using them instead of drywall screws
It's a beautiful table, great work Jon! I really like these video formats because you're able to go over every little detail, which I really enjoy. Keep up the great work!
Great to see a long project! Thanks!
Great build Jon I love your furniture project’s. The longer version are great when I build it myself. Very helpful keep them coming.👍🇨🇦
Thank you deciding to put up the long video. Love it and get to learn lots and hope you decide to do more like this 👍🙂
That looks awesome. I really like the effect the continuous grain has on the overall product. Nice job.
Awesome design here, definitely something I can see myself making in the near future
I love this Jon! What a beautiful project! Please make more long form videos like this one.
Loved the video. You do such great work and I would love to see longer and more details of your skills in action. Thanks for sharing with us.
As mentioned before, excellent work. The longer detailed videos are super. Very much informative and enjoyable. Keep them coming. 👍💪
Terrific build & beautiful table Jon! Love how you made it your own by signing & dating it at the end of the video! 👍👍😉😉
love this longer format! keep em coming!
Nice job on the entryway table Jon! Thank you for sharing it with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Great Project. I will be making one of these as a bedside table as soon as I get out of the sun and back into the workshop.
That's a beautiful piece of furniture. Thanks for sharing
Your line drawing is on another level !!!....just freehand i cant believe it
Very good build - a joy to watch. Never saw anyone run a bead of hot glue on drawers before - together with the screws, they must be the strongest small drawers ever made!
Great table and excellent video to describe the build! You make it look (relatively) easy, which reflects your experience and understanding of the tools and materials used. Thanks!
Yes, I like your long form videos. This is another great looking project, and a great looking setting to go into 👍
You are my favorite woodworking teacher. You have no idea how far you have brought me along in this craft. Thank you!

It looks like they will hold the top in place while allowing the hardwood to contract but doesnt look like the top has room to expand though.
This is great. I will absolutely be planning to make this table soon, thanks so much!
like the design and the fact most handyman types could produce this.
Learning about woodworking, so detailed videos are super helpful! Thank you!
Awesome video Jon! If some people don't have the patience to watch the long video, I don't know how they will have the patience to actually build the table! It's great for those of us who want to learn. Great instruction!! DD
I miss the longer and more detailed videos. The content is so packed with small tips and tricks of the craft - so much more than from the short inspirational videos.
You asked who would watch a 40 minute video. When of that quality I would gladly. I shall be sharing this on two South African wood working groups, I hope it helps your subscriptions. Thanks Jon that was great!
I have a very unusual spot in my dining room, so I took your design and shortened it up a bit to fit the space and I think it looks great. Thanks Jon.
Another great piece! Love the longer videos too👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Jon ! Another masterpiece ! Thanks a lot for sharing
