Desert of Desolation was the first module I ever ran, back in the day!
The 3d print lines on the statues are a great touch to make them look like they were carved out of layered rock and then eroded

Thanks! You know, I was telling myself that so I wouldn't feel bad about being lazy and not sanding them smooth...lol...It's good to hear that they don't look totally cheesy
Never have I watched the opening 15 seconds of a crafting video from a channel I've never seen and immediately subscribed. Seriously great terrain. I even posted this before I finished the video. Seriously... Great looking table. Cool story in the making.

You win, this is officially my favorite DnD build EVER! I'm so impressed!!! You don't know me but I really appreciate your talent. Thank you for sharing with us! I'm going to make all of these for my DnD Game I'm running for my kids. They are currently in an epic battle with Anubis the Egyptian God of Death and the Underworld who is trying to kill every living thing on the planet so he can rule the underworld and the overworld. They are going to LOVE this miniature build for our game!!!!

I think the lines on the 3d prints are just fine. They kind of even look like they were made from ancient concrete or something. Plausible in my book.
@TheBarnBards
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Benny...Yeah, I thought the lines were plausible but, if I would have had more time, I prolly would have sanded them out...3D print tech is moving so fast, its all about the resin printing now for the small , fiddly stuff...Hope you liked the build!

@@TheBarnBards yeah the build is great! I’m just beginning in this whole crafting hobby thing. I’ve got some brick-work stuff, so the next step might be to try something like that hieroglyphic covering.
@TheBarnBards
2 жыл бұрын
@@bennymacaroni Sounds cool! In retrospect, I would carve those hieroglyphs into a thicker block of foam, nice and deep, and thin slice it into thin veneers...I think it would work better if it was thinner. Anyhoo, best of luck in your builds!

Should be fine if you properly sealed your foam with mod-podge, etc....With that said, always safest to test it first!
Just as a quick side note to anyone who cares- the pyramids only really look so worn down and missing chunks today thanks to Al-Aziz Uthman, who was the Sultan of Egypt in the 12th century. He wanted them dismantled because he believed the pyramids to be un-Islamic, and used the stones to build mosques (why the bottoms are missing), similar to why parts of the great wall of China is gone- because people used the stones for other buildings hundreds of years later. They stopped dismantling the pyramids because it ended up being way too much work. In short, feel free to have a old ass pyramid that doesn't look so destroyed
you can actually send stuff to heaven without destroying them all you need is a spellcaster. a spellcaster is a person who casts a spell Spell-caster, a magician, that is, a practitioner of magic as portrayed in works of fiction Spell-caster, in gaming, a wizard or mage with the ability to cast and They can be found on different sites such as KZread, google, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and sometimes dating sites and plus you send them to the spellcaster by using the regular shipping companies then they’ll send them to heaven and a Spellcaster is a person who casts a spell Spellcaster, a magician, that is, a practitioner of magic as portrayed in works of fiction Spellcaster, in gaming, a wizard or mage with the ability to cast spells
Don't remove backing paper from both sides that way you do not need supports but if you want them add them but step them back from edge an 1/8th of an inch that way your corners line up and save the caulk debacle you went through. Yes I build too. 😊good job and idea.
