Hello! Just picked up a 75 gallon 2 days ago and am planning on starting the nitrogen cycle in maybe a week or two. I’m wondering if I’ll have to add my fish in slowly because of ammonia spikes or if it’s cool to just add everything at the same time. I don’t have the fish yet and I just plan on getting 6 Tetras 6 Panda Cory Catfish 1 maybe more Panda Angel fish

In the process of changing my metal stands out. Stacking 2 55gal. I will be using wood.

Instead of removing the trim, hold the tank horizontal just above the level of the shelf, then tilt sideways into the open space above the shelf. Taking the bulkheads off is easier than pulling the trim.

You mean aquaponics - with fish.

Its called a 2x4 bc back in the day ....they WERE actually 2x4 but in the 50s they shaved them down smaller to save an make more wood the in the 70s 80 they shrunk them down to the now 3.5x1.5

You have absolutely destroyed the gallery walls and ceiling with all your changes

This project already wont last , 5 inches of space above the tanks means total tare down to do any form of scaping . I realize this is king of DIY , but why build like this knowing it wouldnt work for actual long term fish keeping .
