NOTES FROM THE LECTURE: 1. When pointed out, accept that you were wrong - Remain in a constant state of inner engineering, i.e introspection to make sure what you are doing is right by listening to your inner nature and if it isn't, to accept that you are wrong so you can fix it. - Bring your inner nature in-line with your actions - If you don't: - 1. Tension in dunya, - 2. Bad end in Akhirah 2. Avoid suppositions - Two types of suppositions: - 1. Positive - 2. Negative - Positive: the subject does not feel bad he/she listens - Negative: the subject feels bad if he/she listens - Even the slightest negative remark, like referring to someone with a negative attribute of theirs, can be dangerous. - if you accidentally pass a negative remark, quickly repent, ask for forgiveness, do what you can 3. Never lie (directly or indirectly) - Two types of lies: - 1. Direct - 2. Indirect - Direct: I suppose things like deception, clear lies - Indirect: Lies told in order to prevent one's image (either to maintain it, or fix it one it has been damaged) - Don't lie directly or indirectly, if you did something wrong, don't try to save your image by lying. 3. Don't give excuses - "If you have a good excuse, don't use it" (even if you have a good excuse, we shouldn't use it) - Excuses are given in order to avoid accepting mistakes - Instead of giving excuses, we should wholeheartedly accept our mistakes - 3 levels in accepting mistakes: - 1. just acknowledging that a mistake was made. - 2. accepting strongly and with intensity that you made a mistake - Proclaiming strongly that you have made a huge mistake with dire consequences - Every mistake we made leaves us two options: whether to accept it, or give an excuse - Accepting builds strong personality, while giving an excuse builds a weak personality

when you admit a mistake you have to not repeat if you admit it. people don't want to do so. many people will admit here that they are wrong....they have to admit where it is the matter. admitting here make false resolution...this is the exactly what he said. we are getting good at lying to ourselves too.
