How to Build a Simple DIY Welding Table with Simple Tools - It's Easier Than You Think!- 24" X 48" DIY welding table built out of scrap tubing. Total cost of this DIY welding table was $160.00. Most of that cost was the 3/32" 2'X4' steel plate for the top and the 2'X4' 16 gauge sheet metal for the storage shelf. This table was welded with .030 flux core wire using a YesWelder YWM - 200 welder. I have listed a complete review video of this particular welder below if you are interested in learning more about it. IMO it's a great welder for the home hobbiest welder and I highly recommend it. Total of 46' of 1"X2" 18 gauge galvanized rectangular tubing (salvaged):
4) 34 - 1/2" (legs)
4) 18 - 1/2" (upper leg supports)
4) 12" (lower leg supports)

Ha Ha thanks! Sometimes I go out to the shop to just take a measurement or do one little thing and a couple hours later I realize I'm still in my slippers and sweats. LOL Honestly that happens more often than I care to admit. 😂

Was gonna build a stand for my porta bandsaw too, but picked up a Horizontal/Vertical Metal Cutting Band Saw from HF instead. Good timing on my part cause I paid I think $179, and now I look and the member price is $339

Thanks Mark, I appreciate it! The table top is a 3/16" piece of plate steel. I wanted to go thicker but I just couldn't justify spending what they wanted for anything thicker. This 2X4 piece of 3/16 plate was $100 and I thought that was ridiculous.
