How to build a PVC Flag Pole | Full Time RV Life

I've seen people selling these on Etsy and other places for $30-$50. So i decided to try it myself. I spent $30 on the material to make 2.. Its super simple and doesn't require many tools.

Thanks. I’ve seen them at a lot of the campgrounds we’ve been to and wondered how they were made.

I put a large washer over the rebar on the bottom. It really helps the flag spin easier

Thanks for the Service; Very good informative video, very helpful. With the washer at the base, a small amount of sand could be added to the counter 1' section down from the flag section. This could be put into a flag pole mount straight up, with enough turning room. 3/4" is good, but 1/2" would stand up better to our Texas Hellish summers..No charge for my thoughts.

Thanks. I watched a similar video and he suggested putting a large metal washer between the ground and the pvc pole. It makes a "base" between the pvc and ground so the flag turns more smoothly.

I glued one set and left the other unglued... If stationary, i would glue them but for travel, you can leave them unglued or mostly unglued and disassemble them for transport..

Did you glue it together because you throw the whole thing in the bed of the truck when y’all move sites? I built a pvc solar panel stand but wanted the flexibility of breaking it down when not using, so I didn’t glue it. Just curiosity if it was personal preference and ease of setup for the next site. Cool video never put any thought into how these were made 👍

Consider the Wonders .. Yes, I did glue this one, i am considering not permanently attaching the 45 degree elbow so it can be taken apart at that joint. The rest needs to be glued to keep it from swirling. I didn’t glue it and the weight of the flag made the top turn and it looked funny.. hahah..
