Awesome video!!! Question, the external flash you mentioned, would that take place of the included strobe? And how easy to replace the ring light if it becomes damaged? I want to make sure that it’s easy to swap parts out if anything malfunction. Thx!

hello barr! been following your vids for years now, much love. i’ve just purchased the darkroom booth 3 software, i already had a surface pro 4 lying around and was just going to use a ring light as it’s only going to be used for home use for my little house parties over xmas, which sample template do you normally duplicate and use for your events mate? i thought i could use the mirror one but that setup doesn’t seem to work on the tablet only unless i put it in an additional monitor so i’m pretty limited to the basic touch screen template i’m guessing, any help is appreciated my friend😃

How do you make adjustments in the camera or computer if it malfunctions? The remote may not always work well in those situations. And removing to do updates etc.

Im curious about the cooling system of this, isn't it prone to overheat? I mean the charges and adaptors are also close to the monitor/screen which might affect the temperature inside.

Hi DJ Barr . Great video! I think it's important to mention how some cameras will not run continuously while connected to a power source. I have been hesitant to buy a camera for my photo booth setup because of just that reason. I would hate to buy a camera that will not take anymore pictures after it runs out of power. I don't want to make any assumptions but do these cameras run continuously while plugged in?? Thanks!

I am not certain it was responded or not, but you can get an adapter that goes into the battery compartment AND stays plugged in and gives you continuous power...this is for most batteries

I have a similar set up. Currently having problems. Dark room booth does not want to detect or connect camera. Wifi camera is off, Bluetooth camera off. Wire set up; mini HDMI to HDMI to USB hub to Microsoft surface pro 7. Turned camera on and off while refreshing camera option in DRB app. Able to connect to EOS utility. Turned off auto launch for EOS utility. Took out memory card. have latest firmware and version for surface pro and DRB app. please help thanks!

As you mentioned... refurbished tablet & camera are an excellent option. Amazon sells a 4 year warranty for "renewed" surface pros and canon cameras.

If you’re working for an event company they should have ya shadow some of the guys for a while. I’m 2 years in with my own DJ company. Gotta practice as much as you can, daily for best results. Get the basics locked in and then you’ll be able to concentrate more on the people and vibe your couple wants. Tips for weddings isn’t necessarily a thing, you get paid lump sum upfront but, it does happen. Hours per week is about 3-10 NON-event hours. Per wedding I’m usually gone for 12-15 hours day of. Cheers brotha!

If your are trying to mirror your screen from your surface on your iPad to see the photos, Duet display works great and it’s only 10 or 20 bucks In the App Store on your iPad. It pretty much makes your iPad another display that can be mirrored or extended from your main display. You do have to keep your iPad plugged in to your computer tho. Hope this Helps!

My photobooth is me i might get a box to do it with but right now I will be doing it by hand went to school for 150 hours and many photo projects to get a certificate in portrait and wedding photography. So I offer photography as a service to for weddings and private corporate shoots and school pictures.

I bought the surface pro 4 L7, canon T6, DPN RX1 printer all 2nd hand from ebay, Charmer edge photo booth new from the states using dslr booth and a skb case. All roughly cost just over £3000. It's a big investment

Fun fact! If one laid all the cords end to end they would go around the globe twice!!!

You can probably get a portable monitor and connect it to your surface pro instead of the ipad

To be honest that's alot of work, it's also expensive and most often people drinking will damage it. What I do is more personal. I prefer to save a Playlist and just take the photos myself. People enjoy the interactive part, I take better photos and when I print them I can do a quick edit to fix color issues and they are much happier with the photos. When I travel I want less gear not more things to get damaged or stolen.

Doesn't your photo booth program have option for a viewing station this is what the iPad is use for.

Its a lot cheaper than buying from a company which is about 7000.00 and up. My shell came from odyssey .
