In this video I am building the greatest piece of furniture I’ve ever built, the Cece Rocking Chair. This chair was designed, built, and named for my new niece, Cecelia. It is made with Beech hardwood, and love. We also created long form video plans that can be purchased on our website, so go check that out if you want to build one of these for yourself, or any of our other projects. This build utilized plenty of interesting techniques including template routing, part tapering, domino connecting, and a lot of rocking good times.

Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs kzread.infoUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.
Why didn't you show the chair rocking? Apparently I'm the only one that wanted to see that. 😑

Because it sucks to use I’ll bet you
The chair is beautiful, tying the armrest into the rocker is fantastic. I really love the storyboard and interactions you throw in on top of the covering the woodworking.
Damn. That intro though. They had us in the first half, not gonna lie.

Totally agree with you 😀
I just gave to tell you both that I don't build, but I love watching your channel(s)! As a freelance art teacher, I can appreciate how difficult it can be to create instructions and complete packages and projects that function for the masses. BRAVO! and nice shoes!
I love the way you guys add humor in every video. God bless you all!
I really enjoyed the discussion of the different design decisions that went into the piece instead of just the instructional way to be able to build this specific thing. Hoping for more of that in the future!

Glad to hear that! Thanks Matt!
Love the design and your guy’s humor. It’s pretty cool you guys work together now. Keep it up.
Humour and design. Love it!
Gold. Out-freakin'-standing. Loved the intro and outro.
20 STARS ON THAT INTRO GUYS!! That was authentic and not mind numbing like most...and OF COURSE...another great vid and QUALITY JOB on your project!
Silliness aside, the design of the chair is freaking awesome. And honestly there's something about it that feels like it has more sentimental meaning to it than your other builds.
Beautiful rocking chair. Love the outside- of- box thinking.
Awesome build! Looks absolutely amazing and it's great that you're able to build something that means so much to you!

“A, 2, and D” hahaha! Y’all have a brand of humor that speaks to my soul. Also, your furniture, videos, teaching is amazing.
This is a masterpiece guys. Everything's perfect: the story, the project, the woodworking, the editing.

It's retro-moderne. Really like it's nostalgic aspect... like something from the Great Gatsby. Top shelf stuff.
I just discovered your channel and I am obsessed! As a beginner woodworker, this is so inspirational! Thank you!

I have literally been wanting to start a channel for almost 5 years! I wanted everything to be perfect and I think that was the issue that was stopping me. Then I thought who cares, lets go. Great info😁😀
I would love to see you guys design and build a mid century modern style couch!
Thank you for the inspiration and help you offer!!
You two work so well together and keep me entertained. Thank you

Stunning piece! This might be in my future. Thanks for sharing, cheers from BC!
Firstly, I learned my lesson and hit the bell icon. Secondly, I just sat on a rocking bench during vacation and loved it 😂 Guess im getting old...
What a beautiful chair Shaun. Great craftsmanship and design. Cecilia is a very lucky niece because her uncle is amazing. Have I piled it on enough????? You both are rockstars in my book. Thanks for sharing. Felix
Looks great. And they way you two interact is awesome.
It's ultramodern it's modern and it's just overall a sick chair great job keep up the good work

Love it... Beautiful design!
Gorgeous! Great ID !
Stunning. Wow
You guys RAWK, plain and simple!
Amazing design, looks so cool!
Beautiful, and has such a nice sentiment behind it. I am guessing that since you have the design on your computer, you could make the same but scaled smaller for when your niece can use it to watch PBS, etc? Probably would be very cute! Nicely designed and nicely produced. Have a great afternoon!
Hahahaha, I was wondering where the beginning was going and was not disappointed - now, back to the video!
Absolutely fantastic
Most definitely a family heirloom! Beautiful work, Shaun!

Thanks Mo! That's what I hope it becomes.
Shaun (and others), i'm still kind of a beginner, so i just have to say that the process you demonstrate around 9:35 (and shortly before and after) was SO helpful! i think i first saw you do this in an old video on your original channel. anyway, i recently built my first bed frame and used this method to taper each of the four posts. it was easy, gave me perfectly repeated cuts, and felt safe! thanks for teaching me! and great job on this rocker -- as a father of two, i know just how important this kind of furniture is during those first months.

Really happy to hear that! That is really what we are hoping to do with the videos and plans. Yes, building a specific piece of furniture is great, but more than that it is the techniques and procedures that can be used on other projects that is really valuable. I know that stuff was for me when I was getting started!
That is a beautiful work of art! You guys are great together, I really like your light-hearted attitude, "we" need that right now. I really like Chris work and looking forward to seeing what four-eyes can do. Or is it six or eight-eyes now?
Great as ever, and funny too. Keep it up guys...!!!

holy moly... you guys are impecable designers... I really enjoyed the format chris sometimes had before "lets talk about design" - do you guys maybe think about doing a segment like that in the future? Would be very interesting to see / hear (podcast ?! ;) ) you guys talk through your design process as a team now! Just a suggestion (or maybe a wish ;P )
Remarkably elegant, my guys!
