well-said friend, for the same reason, I'm obsessed with the idea of building single family small plastic fishing boats, but so far it's still ideas and plans. It's much harder to start from scratch than to start with something like you did. Salute to you!

This is some incredible dedication to put that much work into an older boat. I stripped down an older 1980's welded alumacraft flat bottom that was full of rotting carpet and it took a week of evenings cleaning the old marine adhesive off the metal lining. Such a rewarding experience though, but I wouldnt have had the patience to do all the stuff you did the right way. Big props from a fellow tiny boat lover!

I just recently saw something how you should have your trailer jack on the same side as your boat winch aka driver side. I never thought about it until I saw it and it make sense. You don’t have to reach over or climb over to raise or lower the jack. Just wanted to share that with you. Also Awesome build! I look forward to seeing the complete Coosa board tracker topper!

We do it to save money and have the best boat we can by building it ourselves, I'm 71 years old 6'1" 240 lbs and have a 14 foot semiV bottom, I'm on social security and on a snug budget, so I try to make my boat as comfortable and functional as possible, I fish I'm a lake where some guys have big bass boats with monster motors , but little budget boat woll chase the bass, a lot slower but I'm a fishermen not a showman , but I love adding more comfort to my tin boat. Thanks for the video.

brush back into your brush strokes and keep a wet edge. when you start in the middle of your previous brush strokes, you can see where you started that brush stroke and it harder to get a straight brush line stroke throughout the whole hull. brush back into your paint and you can fade out your stroke and get a straighter line. thats my ''im a painter know it all" comment for the day. Thanks for the videos dude. im working on my mod now and finding your videos felt like a miracle. Only know paintting and carpentry so all this aluminum framing and wireing made me feel a little lost. thank god my friend told me about these. thanks man!

I’ve been working on a jon boat project for a while because I had to give up my high dollar bass boat to raise a family. I’ve added seats, new paint, a trolling motor, depth finder, and homemade 10 foot power poles that slide through some pipe straps/clamps bolted to the transom. The poles are made out of 3/4 inch schedule 80 pvc pipe with a taper cut on one end and a 6 inch wide T-handle on the other. This set up nails the boat down solid in most any condition. It’s almost like fishing from a mobile boat dock........
