    Sc400 w/ suspension upgrade,TT Supra rear brakes, LS400 front brakes, welded diff, solid subframe bushings, coilovers, wheel n tire upgrade, trunk mounted lightweight battery, CD009 6 speed w/ light weight flywheel/ driveshaft, KELFORD cams n more! Front mid engine V8 w/ standalone ECU brings some competition to the track.. lots of potential for this "hidden Jewel"👍

    I'm still in highschool but hoping to grab one of these so bad once I get some money. Great powerful project cars which look clean and are actually insanely reliable (barring the power steering pump lol). beautiful timeless cars

    Just bought mine today. Try to find a running and driving one. And check for rust and hinges and leaks and timing belt. All points for negotiation. I got mine for less 700 so I can't complain.

    goodluck! i got my sc400 in november of 2022 and ive loved it ever since. check for a leaky PS system, as those are very common on SC400s, not so sure about SC300s. On the sc400 if the PS leaks, it’ll leak onto your alternator and mess it all up. i’m only a junior in HS right now so parts are very expensive. i wish you the best!

    @@hexzgone I've had an SC300 for about a year. Rather than power steering, the distributor leaks oil onto the alternator if its o-rings have gone bad, so watch out for that. Kudos to you for owning an SC in HS though.

    What’s up mark been watching for quite some time, I’m 18 and just bought a silver 99 sc300 with black interior and heated seats traction control + spoiler trim package, it just hit 140k and is clean. Stock suspension unmolested. Honestly I’ve always dreamed of owning one of these and making a crazy build but I think I wanna just keep this car clean for now, I’ve done some small stuff like the p2m floor Matt’s you mentioned and a nardi shift knob and some chrome 18s. It’s got tint and a few mods like exhaust and intake but damn I have a hard time wanting to mod this out now that I have it. It’s such a comfy car that is still so fun and reliable. These things are definitely gonna become classics and they’re already shooting up in value. I’ve modded out everything I’ve owned and I’m sure I’ll build this one too but this is the first car that’s made me happy to play the long game. I think sometimes it’s more impressive seeing a clean oem+ jdm car than a built jdm car that’s been ran through

    Sounds good to me. Keep it as a daily. I've done similar things to my Solara, and it looks great as it is with headlight tint, some thin stripes and underglow, as well as a cone feeder intake and muffler separation. Did you install a new stereo, cuz that is a necessity.

    Interesting video btw. Speaking of builds, I added a feeder intake (cut hole in stock air box and feed automotive hose into it, with a cone filter in a great location for extra cold air at the end) to my v6 Solara. Great mod that cost me $30 and makes more power than a KNN cold air intake for $300 (they don't make one for my car though) because it adds to the stock cold air the car's already taking in without losing any. Also disconnected the muffler from exhaust but left it there to reassemble for inspection. That was free, and now the car sounds great and might make a little extra hp. Any takers on this budget performance mod? Speaking of my Solara, is that the next Good Bad and Ugly?

    The connection rods are the weak point not the pistons and this is only on the later years. Early years (pre 98) are fine to throw boost at with no egine upgrades besides head bolts and head gasket

    I have heard German cars are difficult to tune. I think some require really special software. I also guess with more technology means more tuning costs, which is why Honda's are so cheap to tune. $1000 is outrageous though, but it can depend on what quality tune the different cars get on average.

  • @chrisadkins6830

    @chrisadkins6830

    It is more of an accessibility issue. Honda actually has some of the most technically advanced engines. However, they build their cars with a lot of extra strength to keep their reliable reputation. And don't lock their software like the Germans do

    @SgtLemur-zl9oe4 ай бұрын

    Okay, I’ve owned an SC for a while and done a lot of mods. This video is just a tiktok mod list. A lot of things you stated are not needed and you completely underestimate the actual costs of installing the parts. Even if you do it yourself I would slap another 20% of what you spend to be put into little things here and there. Also any good tuner is not charging anything less than $400 for a good tune. Yeah the $200 tune off facebook market place might work but it will be shit. Do your own research boys, it’s not as easy as just being mods and plugging and playing.
