Ғылым және технология

But of course - excellent! And I enjoyed the quiet sounds of life in the background. ☺️

I've seen this method done before here on KZread. You can wrap the core and the rolled boom with video tape. Use wax floor polish as a release agent. Good job! PS, not seen the hotwired foam core before. I think the guys I saw had a steel mandrill on a slow running lathe to make wrapping easier.

Yes I've seen that, but only had the foam and a arrow shaft to work out a boom shape..

Do you already have a build video online, how you build the rest of the glider, I mean how you fit the wings and electronics to that conic boom? Just know the ones with straight arrow shaft. I have some very similar piece of carbon lying around from cheap decathlon telescope fishing poles. Below 10€ lots of different sized carbon conic poles. Using the bigger ones as camera boom...

By the way, ive noticed myself there are dofferent densities of xps foam, i have a blue one thats really see through and feels more “ airy” were as the other one is yellow non see trhough when put against light and feels really dense and a bit heavier

I use the blue/green that you'de normally use as an insulation for home builds. It should be about 25psi if I am not mistaken.

Great video, just one thing: did you leave the foam with the epoxi in the boom at the end in order to make it stronger?

Yes, but mainly to have something to insert the extra piece of arrow shaft to extend the nose so I can mount the electronics.

Arrow shaft is perfect, I just wanted to try something new. This new one is heavier but much stiffer. For ease of build you should use arrow..
