We have done a whole lot of custom interiors in this shop. From our flagship truck ChaChing, to our restomod F100; we've shown you guys what goes in to fabricating and assembling a custom cab for these old trucks. What we HAVEN'T shown you though, is just what goes in to making some of these one-off custom bench seats. We thought about ordering a nice bench for our LS Swapped C10, but this bagged and supercharged Chevy needed something with a little more flair. So we called in our friend Lee from E3 Customs to help us shape and stitch a seat from scratch. We're taking the original bench from our 1975 C10 and stripping it all the way down to the frame. We got some brand new foam that we have to cut down to give us a nice cushy place to sit at the right height to cruise around town. Then, once the seat is the perfect shape, we're sending it off with Lee back to his shop to get some custom stitching done on our leather. By the end of the episode we're going to have a diamond stitched, genuine leather, custom cut and shaped bench seat for our LS swapped, supercharged and slammed Cheyenne C10! Next step? Finishing up the interior and picking up our custom wheels from Vossen! Then we're finally hitting the road!

Dope as hell. I’m trying to do my own interior and bench seat and chose real leather. It’s crazy how cheap a whole hide actually is be my first time not gonna try anything super fancy.

Good luck! From what we've learned and heard, it's just about being patient. And of course the old "measure twice, cut once"

That seat ok, if you like hand crafted products made with high quality materials. Myself, I like to install cheap Chinese items until I've spent enough to just buy a quality product!! LOL!!!🤣

@@SalvagetoSavage Yeah I built most everything so I did not need stitch work just layers that held the other down or whatever, I work with an upholstery shop now that grew up with the guy from E3 . Some of the opportunities have been fantastic. Can’t wait to see what happens this year.

IDK guys, I think I would have incorporated the scarring on the hide into the design. It doesn't get more authentic than that.

That wasn't a hide from our project. He just broke it out of the bin to show us different examples of what you can get when working with different quality of hides. The one that he got for this bench was dang near flawless!
He makes it so easy

You gotta get in touch with the guys from E3 Customs Upholstery in south Florida for that!
I hate seeing an expensive car with Montana plates (the Ferrari at @ 8:49). If you're that rich you can afford to pay your taxes.
